Nobody demoting since October 10th and it will keep going until February

With the new Event Calendar I have seen that we are receiving only seasonal heroes this month and the next new heroes banner is going to be ending on January 30th. Seasonals don't get added to the pool so we will have to wait until that day to hopefully receive a new unit in the 3/4* pool.

The last banner we got somebody demoted was Nohrian Dusk, with Silas joining the 4* pool on October 10th and then nobody was demoted since then. We received the Generals of Muspell, Brave Redux, Adrift and Fire & Ice adding characters to the common pool but all of them 5* locked.

So almost a quarter of a year with no demotes.

Honestly, I don't mind.
The 4* pool is already pretty big, getting some units can be pretty hard.

The 5* pool is pretty big too, y'know?
It's hard to get some units from there as well.

That may be true, but you never really try to get off focus 5*.
Getting the right 4* units is not something you can focus on.

I still want more Silas. But I don't think 'when will I get [enter 5* unit here] from a off focus pull?'

You think "when can I pull for [5* unit]" though. There's more and more units that are 5* locked and we're not getting banners any faster. Which leaves units like Luke who hasn't been a focus unit for 18 months. It's a lot easier to get Silas than him, and Silas is a better unit with more valuable fodder too.

I'm not saying the bloated 3-4* pool isn't a big problem, because it is. But the solution is definitely not "leave everyone else stuck at 5*".

I don't think you realise what demotes do. They add units to the 3 and 4 stars pool, making them HARDER to pull than 5* on a focus banner.

I just want more Fury fodder... I only got like, two Hinatas. And both got foddered months ago.

While that is bad, any more demotes may get in the way of me getting a single 4* Silas, I've had a Beruka waiting to get merged when she learns Steady Stance 3 but the dammed Nohrian knight won't appear.

In all seriousness, more demotes are good as we get more characters so I'm all for it, preferably a mass demote with QR3 and all inheritable weapons being available on 4* units.

I'm not summoning in any 3 or 4 man banner anyway untill they decide to do a mass demotion anyway so it's not that byg of a problem for me, but that's definetely a problem

At this point demoting almost doesn't help get the unit--the pool is too large. I still don't have a Sylvia and I've pulled red plenty of times. They did pile on the special banners a bit, but I can see how having the transition out of book 2 contributed to that. Every banner until book 3 had to be shoved into a paralogue, plus they wanted to get the remaining Nifl/Muspell units out without having them all clog up legendary banners.

That said, Adrift not having a demote was definitely bullshit. Should have given Mikoto a less fancy C skill (a defensive tactic or wave, maybe?) and booted her. The staff pool could use some fresh blood, and Brazen Atk/Res would hardly shake up the 4* pool given that Brazen Atk/Def is already in it.
