No Love for Zephiel's Refinement?

I gave my Zephiel Distant Counter early on, and oh my goodness, his new weapon is pretty bonkers. Pairing the effect with the Distant Defense seal, he has 50 defense and 36 resilience when attacked by a ranged unit. The weapon also retains its Threaten Defense, but it has been bolstered to -6 defense.

It's been forever since Zephiel was a GHB unit that a lot of people don't have one. He's pretty much in the same boat as Camus at this point.

That's a great point. Is the maximum merge level for Zephiel only +1 right now? I went through a phase where I was quite cavalier with foddering off GHB units. I'm surprised he hasn't come back so people could bolster him up more.

Thank you - there's a good chance I failed to complete the highest level back then. At least I hope that's the case. I wasn't savage enough to fodder TWO Zephiels...was I?

No problem. It was pretty hard for me too back then.

If I recall correctly, Zephiel's GHB did make a comeback after its debut. That's how I got the third Zephiel, I believe.

I like Zeph, so I'm aiming for getting this refinement, but given he's from a GHB from a while back, and the steep investment to make him truly FIERCE, I can understand people not paying much attention. Those who built him out are doubtless giddy with their insurmountable wall of BERN, though.

edit: I'd like to also add that I'm THRILLED that they're still thinking of old GHB units, even this far down the line. I'm hoping for similar buffs for Lloyd, not to mention the Askr trio.

Sad part is he's been outshined by Arden, BK, and Zelgius. Plus, there's the whole killing a Hector for him. But looking at his refinement he's actually the better DC user than the other in terms of taking magic hits. Slap on him Vengeful Fighter and you've got a scary guy with a scarier build.

Yeah they really went heavy on the f2p red armored units for a while there. I've always had a soft spot for Zephiel though. I pretty much had to since I killed a Hector for him...haha
