I dont think that can work, bc there are already too many sword units from FE. Celica at least can use magic.

I was hoping Celica would replace Robin with a similar sword and magic moveset. I haven't seen it but I assume Marth, Ike, Lucina, maybe Corrin, return. Anyone know? I'm at work so really shouldn't be watching it.

Everyone who has been in a smash bros game is in this new game.. From the first smash bros to smash 4 dlc,everyone. there are 3 new announced characters though,but none of em were fire emblem

At least all the old favorites are back. No doubt there'll be DLC with brand new characters, not a fan of that but I admit to buying Corrin and Bayonetta for Smash WiiU.

As of right now it is unclear if we know the full roster. I feel like there are a few more characters to be revealed to build hype over the next 6 months.
Also, I loved echoes and all... but I would really like to see a Three House character to promote the new game. Maybe the green haired player character, or the axe wielding noble.
