Next Merge Project?

I have fully-built, +10 merges on the following units and am ready to start a new project after waiting on what turned about to be nothing from 3.0.

Thoughts on a next merge project? I have fairly ample fodder and am interested in doing something that can help me get out of tier 19.5 in arena. I was thinking of maybe a colorless infantry like Sothe who can debuff and act as a chipper with the colorless duel skill to support my arena team. Thoughts?

Any rogue or cleric could suffice, but I definitely think a Sothe or even a Pain+ healer could be an interesting inclusion.

Don't do sothe, use a healer, like Maria, who can chip and do any number of status inflictions, isntead of just chip damage.

I just started working on Sothe myself. He’s great in arena with windsweep and phantom spd.

I recommend Soren as your next project. He comes with chill atk and watersweep, and can run def and res tactic. With this setup he can increase your bonus unit’s bulk by 13, which is very useful. His stats aren’t the best, but as a +10 he can deal some damage to dragons and can tank blue mages very well.

I have an in progress Soren merge but without g mage duel I'm not super inclined to run him.

Any infantry healer>Sothe.

For arena, not only can healers poke and chip units without fear of counter attacks, but they can also heal your units.

Thanks everyone! For infantry staff merge projects, what are people's suggestions? Lucius seems to have decent attack and speed with the potential to ploy.

I'd suggest Azama. Yes, he has the worst attack in the game, but he also has good mixed defenses and can improve them further with an attack bane. He won't be killing much, but he can still put out a lot of nonlethal damage with Pain+ and Savage Blow, and can safely attack with a dazzling staff refine and guard.

A calvalry pain+ healers are really good in Aether raids, and grand conquests. So Priscilla or Nanna might be good picks

I have a 4* merge Priscilla who I like for that role. I don't know that cav healers ever get a duel skill, but I'd be all over converting her to a 5* merge then if they do

3.0 wasn't the big thing. AR was a big one, 2.11, and beast units in 3.1 are going to be the big ones. I think one month longer is not too much given how long we've already waited
