The next demotion

It's pretty much certainly gonna be Silvia.
Small chance of Quan, but that's pretty slim. (I'd welcome it though)

A part of my is afraid that there won't be demotions, but I just have to believe that it won't happen.

So, anything you guys are going to do with the barrier blades and mirror stances when you get Siliva as 4*?
Personally I'm going to give mirror stance to Garon.

Ohh I would prefer Quan accually. I'd totally merge him up.
I'm a giant fan of the Jugdral knightly characters.

but I feel that his assist kinda ruins that chance.

Perfect then! After Ares got demoted I'm positive they either don't want us to have Valor skills or don't want us to have female characters. Good luck on your merges

Ares had 4 skills like Lene, so he wasn't completely out of the question. Quan has 5 while Silvia also has 4. Not to mention that Quan comes with a 400 SP inheritable assist.

Report

There's a chance. Saying it's certain is definitely not true. Lene had an inheritable sword and Ares is really powerful. The only reason you would keep Lene over Ares was Waifu or Valor skills. Same situation here.

Report

All Valor skills are on 5* exclusive units, in fact, most are on seasonal units. Lene doesn't really mark a precedent. If Silvia being demoted would be considered a pattern break, Quan's demotion would be one as well, since no unit with a 5/6 set has been demoted.

Edit: Basically, Olivia seems very obvious to me and don't really get why there's so much insistance with Quan when Silvia has a lot more to signal her demotion.

Inheritable weapon with an effect equal to Berkut's Lance, which is available on a (granted, limited in number) FTP unit. The only FTP dancer is also an infantry sword, so it's nothing crazy if she's demoted. No crazy new skills (and again, only 4 skills), but she could be nice fodder for certain characters, especially on a budget. Etc.

Report

Gray is pretty much the precedent. What does he have that would 5* lock him. Wind Boost? Boey has Earth Boost. Zanbato? Mathilda has Ridersbane. Valor? Yep clearly this is the reason.

Report

No, not 100%, obviously, but we can take very good guesses at least. I don't think we've taken many wrong guesses with a demotion. Ares might have been a surprise for many, yes, but like I said, nothing completely put him out of the equation like what happens with Quan and Silvia.

Report

True, it doesn't mean they couldn't break the pattern sometime, but the fact that he even survived the mass demotions suggests to not expect it.

It would be nice to not have Zanbato 5* locked though (not that I have any builds for it, just thinking about options).

Quan has a rally + skill that's way too good with blade tome units. -attack taltiu doesnt even care about the triangle. That +6 spd is good and that +6 defense can make a glass cannon take a hit like Bow hinoka

Report

It's Quan, no doubt. Lene didn't get demoted, and Silvia's pretty similar. IS makes too many generic blue cavs anyway. Low res, high def, standard 50 to atk, and mediocre spd with standard 40 hp. Either way, I'm probably just going to fodder them or sell them off.

Report

If Silvia gets demoted, I won't mind. Barrier Blade fodder, Sword Valor, and potentially another F2P dancer. Everyone wins.

If Quan gets demoted, I'll be kinda salty bc I ended up getting a 5 star one. But also bittersweet bc it'll be easier to merge him and fodder off his skills.

Different banner, but Silas is getting demoted.

Report

Silvia doesn't have Sword Valor, Lene did. That's the point, I insist that's the only reason Lene wasn't demoted instead of Ares. So I think Silvia will be demoted.

Some people are saying Quan, some people are saying Silvia, and everyone else is saying neither because there isn't a snowball's chance in Hell that Lewyn is getting demoted. In my opinion, Silvia is the most likely because she has 4 skills and the least impressive of the three whereas Quan has 5 skills (one of them being an inheritable Dual Rally+) and is a pretty strong enemy phase unit. However, Silvia is a dancer, so that could prevent her from being demoted (the waifu thing doesn't hold water because we did get Nanna and L'Arachel demoted). Either would be great, but I think Silvia is more likely even though I want Quan more.
