Newbie who needs advice

I've recently started playing FEH and i need some advice to better improve my team. I have Brave Lyn, Raven, Lucius, and Finn on my current team. I got Legendary Lyn and Legendary Ike from the summon. If there is any character from future summons, who should i get?

A dancer to replace Lucius will greatly improve this team as you have 2 highly offense oriented units in Raven and B.Lyn.

On that note, the upcoming banner in 3 days(I think)-Genealogy contains Lene which is a new dancer. Not to mention you lack a red unit to complete the triangle.

Otherwise, if you don’t want to spend your precious orbs on this banner. EvenOlivia would do the job well.

Good Luck

Ishtar could be good to replace lucious as a magic dmg dealer/magic baiter/tank. But you dont really NEED her tbh. A decent iv tailtiu can probly serve you well for quite some time

Generally with a good team comp (and draw back/repostion on EVERYBODY) you dont need a dancer or healer to clear most of the game.

Yes, Ishtar can be good in this team. However, if I was to put her in, I would remove Finn.
If that’s the case, I would still remove Lucius which barely has any job in this team composition.

Yes, I completely agree with the fact that dancer and healers aren’t really that needed as long as you have movement assist skills on all or most of your units to finish most of the game but it’d greatly help new players.

Anyway, pretty good advice. :)

really your team is lacking a strong source of magical damage. its all physical so if you run into an enemy with high def and low res you won't be able to take full advantage of it. However Lucius is a really strong magic tank and finn is a solid physical tank so you have your defenses covered. If you can find something to remedy this, for example a mage with high atk and res stats then they will work as a good replacement for lucius. You also most defiantly want to run reposition or swap on most of your units as both raven and brave lyn will be very vulnerable without support.

Just wanted to pipe up, as the contrarian in the room. Lucius is one of the first units that I got to max hero merit. I used him a lot. I like him and think that he has a strong place on lots of different teams, especially with the right resources to supplement his stat line and his base kit.

My advice to every new player is the same: find characters you love for non-gameplay reasons, and build those units up as fast or slow as you please. Play gameplay modes that suit your character preferences where possible. I firmly believe you'll have more fun in the long run if you build based on the characters' personalities, voices, and art, rather than gameplay mechanics.

That being said, if you like certain gameplay mechanics enough, there is no reason not to use them, even if they're locked to characters you wouldn't otherwise care about.

Have you ever played any other game in the Fire Emblem Franchise? For the most part, characters in Heroes are pretty true to their source material. If you already have existing relationships with characters from Fire Emblem Echoes, for example, that would change my advice on who you should save your orbs for.

Look man, this is a great game and you be needing different heroes to compose different purpose teams. I have a lot of fun trying to combine heroes in teams with purpose, like anti cavalry, arena team, armor team, flier team, magic nuke team and go and go. My advice is to look for units you find interesting, test their skill, the game mode you like best, try to find the best skill that fits the best hero in the team you imagine and have fun playing the game. When it was released it was very simple but now there are a lot of evens and game modes and you probably don't get to play and like every one of them. Have fun my man!

Invest in a dancer: either regular Olivia, PA!Azura, or NY!Azura.

Get Xander, Camus, and/or Ursula from GHB and upgrade them to 5* for decent starter cavalry units.

Get a free Fjorm from Book 2 - Chapter 1 for a good solid blue lance unit with solid def and res.

As a starter, one of the top tier units to easily invest in is Nowi. She's can be summoned at 4* and 3* so she can easily be merged and also has sold def and res.

Healers and dagger units are currently having a tough time in the meta right now so, unless you're just solely using for PvE, they're outclassed in PvP Arena.
