new xander question

pulled a def+hp- xander and thinking of making him drop bonfire/ignis bombs with barb shuriken+ or is his default weapon worth keeping? with 37def and a def refine would put him at 40def and patch his hp abit. just curious if dropping quicker specials is better then having effective against horse emblem and priority cancel

That's the only boon I would recommend on him. +atk is decent but definitely not my preference.

I don't think he really benefits that much from a cavalry-effective dagger or hardy bearing. If anybody could give this guy one extra seal for free, I don't think anyone would pick hardy bearing.

I recommended barb shuriken+ignis before the banner even released, and I still think it's good. The only other daggers that I think are especially good for him are rogue dagger (makes him even more ridiculously tanky) and smoke dagger (because it debuffs opponent's attack, but you can do that with atk smoke. Still a good option if your teammates like the spd debuff.)

Yeah, running Rogue Dagger++Def, Ignis, CC, QR, Attack Smoke and CD3 would be a terrifyingly tanky set. You can initiate and debuff their defenses and attack and gain a cooldown from 4 to 3, then they attack and (assuming they double) he'll proc Ignis on his second hit. That's what I'd reccommend, personally.
