How would you guys combo the built-in Desperation with asides from the infamous Brashperation sets? Breakers? LA!Lyn's Bold Desperation QR? It's probably the best built-in for a dagger, but not the best bow or blue tome in my opinion.
Well, I don't have LA!Lyn, and there's not really much I can give these units in terms of B skills if I did get one of them since they already have the B skill I'd normally give a speedy unit, and it's not like they can really tank considering their defense and resistance is pretty much ass (Linde has somewhat "okay" resistance, I guess).
I think it can make your otherwise support units into a more offense-oriented support. Take Bridal Ninian as an example. She is not really strong, but has decent speed and she comes with chill atk in her B slot. You can easily keep it while giving her the Desperation tome to make sure that she can actually deal some damage with those uninterrupted follow-up attacks (most likely boosted by someone's hone/gode flyers). This will keep her utility as a debuffer intact and she will be able to deal some damage as well thanks to desperation.
i used to run reinhardt with cancel affinity to deal with units like titania and boey and camilla can probably run that kind of set too.
otherwise, cancel affinity is perfect for takumi and linde but for takumi, if you have fodder for firesweep bow, i dont see any reason not to use it instead aside from the refinement. which will probably go into speed
edit::: chills are a good option but my favorite options that open up are escape route/wings of mercy and aerobatics. aerobatics especially. i dont think anyone ever used nino's acrobatics cuz all i see in arena are desperation users so giving that skill to takumi or camilla can make her such a lethal bruiser.
same goes for flier formation and pass.
