New Player: What is TT?

I've been reading a lot about TT but I'm kinda confused about what it is.

Is it something a newer player can participate in? How would someone get the LA:Eliwood?

It's essentially a gauntlet of 3-7 maps (depending on which difficulty you choose) with a boss at the end. After the run, you get a score that factors in a few things such as the difficulty you selected, how many teams it took you to beat it, and your clear speed. The rewards you get are based on reaching score thresholds, which can be seen once the TT is open. You get an extra point multiplier if you use one of the shown bonus units, and the bonus unit you use will get +10 HP and +4 to every stat during the Trial.

Newer players can participate, but may have to play on lower difficulties if they lack seasoned teams. Bonus units really help, since the stat buffs they get really make a difference.

Of Course, you have like around 2 weeks and every day your first two run have an 3x multiplier on your score. With a bit of grinding 30,000 is a piece of cake for everyone.

As long as you get Fjorm (which is easy and can even be done by new players), you already have one good unit for TT. Get a healer, or in my case, a ranged unit with Breath of Life, and you'll be good to go. It's not hard, but it will take a lot of time. As long as you always use your 2 daily x3 runs, it's absolutely possible to get even the 5* version. Which you should grind for, because he has great stats and could be a valuable asset for your TT runs. In case you don't know, every TT has 8 Units, which raise the points you get by a certain percentage and everyone of those units gets 10 more HP and 4 more points on everything else plus double EXP and SP when you use them in TT. Just start using the 4* version as soon as you get him and it'll be a lot easier from here. Sorry for the lengthy answer, but I hope I could help ^^

What they said. You can reach the 5* version if you stay consistent with it, you get triple the points for the first two times you do it a day, so make sure you do it at least twice a day. After those two attempts per day you can try letting a team autobattle the maps, they'll do dumb stuff but it's better than tiring yourself out by doing them over and over. Well-rounded tank characters work well in TT autobattle, along with a healer with no weapon and maybe a dancer. But that can be hard without strong tank characters. If you do at least two rounds a day manually, you can probably get up to Eliwood (30,000 points probably.)

Oh and a few random tips: The speed multiplier counts more than the survivability multiplier for some reason, so faster generally is better than slow and careful to a certain point. If you're autobattling, take off any movement abilities like Reposition and Draw Back. And like this person said, those new characters will do really well in this mode with +4 to all stats, and they're really strong characters. Hector especially will be amazing. Eliwood will also get those buffs when you get him, so you can get 4* Eliwood and level him up and use him, too.

My dancer is always a lifesaver because she almost always dances the healer, who can then heal twice per turn. Not sure why the AI does that, but it almost always works out that way.

Max Speed Score is 4 turns/map if I remember. It doesn't have to be 4 turns on each map, so if you clear one stage more quickly, you can take your time on another stage. For this reason units like Brave Lyn are great for tempest, while Armor units lag behind a little.
As far as getting your 5* as long as you keep dumping your energy into it, you'll make it for sure. It's better to autobattle on the level 30 maps then let energy go to waste if you don't have the time to manually complete the harder lunatic levels. It's also better to complete the level 30 map than to fail on the lunatic maps if your roster is struggling/only have one full team, because the multipliers for speed and survival only apply if you complete the final map.
