New Legendary Weapons ideas?

This is an open discussion.

If there could be new legendary weapons, what would you add and what would their effects be?

Personally, I would like to see the Astra Bow. 16 Mt and If unit has Astra for their special attack, -1 Special cooldown on turn 1 AND Astra ignores 30% enemy Def/Res upon activation.

Too much? Not enough? What do you all think?

Rexbolt and Rexflame.

Rexbolt should a blue tome that's effective against dragons and cooldown count -1 (has high crit chance in the games).

Rexflame - Unit deals damage regardless of foes skills. This means bypassing Crusader's Ward, Divine Tyrfing, Urvan, and other deflecting moves.

id like to see Roy binding blade upgraded to def/res + 4 when the enemy initiates attack because is shiro has atk/def + 4 when he initiates people like Roy should also have a weapon like that

Report

I do agree his weapon needs an upgrade, however, this discussion is what NEW weapons would you introduce to the game? Personally, I think Roy's weapon Special ability for refinement should be a built in Wrath 2 effect.

Report

Yeah 16 mt seems excessive for a bow, and although I like making underused specials more viable, I don't like the idea of making build essentially forced to use 1 exact special

Report

Its just a thought. Making Astra actually threatening is pretty cool and also it can help with Lunatic chain challenges with inflated HP on enemies.

Poison Mutton for Dorcas
Mt: 8 Rng: 2 as a neutral dagger, effects Armor Units
If unit initiates attack, instantly follow up with another attack
If opponent iniates attack, unit counters regardless of distance. After any combat, opponent takes 7 damage.

Here's something really op in my opinion. The long ranged tome trio (Bolting, Purge and Eclipse) and the longbow, all 4 with a range of 2/3 instead of 2.

Report

I highly agree. They need some range 3 weapons like the Longbow. They also need to make Physic+ be range 2-3. And the tomes are all nice as well. Love the ideas.

Luna
Mt: 0 Rng: 2

Effect: Ignores 10% of enemies Def/Res

Luna+
Mt: 0 Rng: 2

Effect: Ignores 15% of enemies Def/Res

Nosferatu
Mt: 6 Rng 2

Heals back 50% of damage dealt

Nosferatu+
Mt: 9 Rng 2

Heals back 50% of damage dealt

Report

I love these ideas. I would think Luna/Luna+ should ignore 15% and 25% respectively and I think Nosferatu has too much might for that powerful of an effect. Since it had a high Miss rate in the original games and FEH doesn't do the Hit chance system, I think less might will balance this out. Great thoughts though, I love it all!

Report

Just curious, how would you all feel about another "Brave" tome?
I was thinking Celica's Gale from awakening (Green tome variant) with 8 Mt like other brave weapons, -5 Spd penalty, and -1 Special cooldown, or do you think this needs to be effective against fliers like in awakening?

Report

They should add another effect to the Falchion sword, since it is the original Legendary Weapon in all of Fire Emblem

Report

Agreed. I am thinking ignoring buffs on dragons as a Special effect for weapon refinement, however, this is a discussion about what NEW weapons you would add to the game. What are some that you want?

Report

Another idea would be a Sleep staff, that disables any action of the enemy for the following turn. Basically you go in with your healer and attack, and that inflicts a state where the enemy attacked is grey and cannot be danced out of it for one turn.

Report

I think Sleep would be too OP unless it had a condition, like unit takes 10 Damage after use. Or even can only apply to enemy if enemy has any kind of stat buff, stat nerf, or other effect like gravity or something. Think of a condition and that should balance this.

Report

Well obviously. I thought about the 10 damage, and other conditions like the unit itself being inflicted with Gravity for one turn, lose the ability to heal allies for one turn etc. And they could add a healer-exclusive seal or a healer support skill called Awaken that instantly removes the effects of Sleep.

Report

This is random but Vargas' Dandelga sword form Brave frontier with fire boost 2 and dc passives 16 mt

Report

Idk what the name would be but some weapon (probably melee) that has 0 might, and always has the weapon triangle advantage. Possibly with "unit can't counterattack" as a balance change.

For the next Radiant Dawn banner, I'd like to see choices like these:
Micaiah - Thani/RexAura as a blue mage (bonus damage vs Armor and Cavalry if Thani)
Shinon/Leonardo - Double Bow (Close Counter) or Lughnasadh (spd +3)
Gatrie/Aran/Tauroneo - Wish Blade (Distant Counter)
Kurthnaga/Ena/Nasir - Black/Red/White Breath (DC 16 mt breath) preferably Green dragon Kurthnaga. But I'd settle for Red Dragon Ena or Blue Dragon Nasir.
Edward - Vague Katti (maybe Wo Dao effect with Spd +3, or killing edge effect with Atk +3) or Caladbolg (similar)
Nolan - Tarvos (Steady Stance 2 or 3 on it)
Pelleas - Balberith (killing edge effect, Atk+3) G or (more likely) R tome user
Leanne - Heron's Wings (mt 0, cannot attack, allows Leanne to transform into Heron form every other turn and sing multiple adjacent allies at once) with Sing obviously
Sothe - Peshkatz (debuff, windsweep effect)
GHB unit- Sephiran - Creiddylad, or Ashera - Judge (less likely)
Obviously other Laguz Royals would be sweet, but Kurthnaga has the best chance of making it as a dragon that's exclusively playable in Radiant Dawn. Otherwise, they'd have to figure out how to fit Laguz/Beast type characters into the weapon triangle system, which seems like more work than they're likely to do until they're running short on characters in several years.
Any of these would be sweet. I think Micaiah is the most likely to get in though, followed by Sothe, then Edward/Nolan/Leonardo about tied. Kurthnaga would be a much needed unit though. There's only 1 G dragon currently. We need more.

Report

Stefan owns the Vague Katti - gives def+3. Probably a defensive buff.
Tarvos should have Steady Breath (I wish)
Izuka should be a GHB with Balberith

Report

It would be interesting to see some of the "triangle reversal" weapons from the GBA games, even if they're exclusive/legendary.

Also, Lyon with Nosferatu or Naglfar. A standard Sol effect on Nosferatu, and maybe an increased MT on Naglfar?

Report

I'd want to see a dagger on a high defense dagger units with close counter like
Close dagger mt: 9 units counterattacks regardless of distance and since it's a dagger it would have a def/res smoke ability

Report

I'd want to see weapons like lancereaver, swordreaver, axereaver where they switch around the weapon triangle around 10-12 mt
