Never Thought I'd Make A Help Thread

I spend a lot of time theory crafting for this game. And generally, I find something a cut above the rest, and just go with that. However, as I'm finally upgrading my primary team, I've come to a slight crossroads that leaves me wondering the "What If..?" scenario too much for me to make the call.

My new team will consist of +D/-R Kagero (with Life and Death 2, Seal Defense 3, and Hone Speed 3,) +D/-S Effie (with Brave Lance+, Bonfire, and Threaten Attack 3) and Sheena (who I need help deciding between two builds.)

The final slot will either go to Eirika or Olivia. I cannot decide which would fit this team build better. Ideally, Kagero would be the the Red Unit I pick, while Effie and Sheena stick together. So, I want to consider that as being the main focus, but also as to, of the occasions that we need to stick together as a full team, which Red Unit would benefit the group as a whole.

Effie and Sheena must stay adjacent so that Effie gets that sweet, sweet Fortify Armor buff. Effie does not care about the Speed buff from Kagero or Eirika, though the two of them do appreciate the other for it. Also to note, the Speed buff can help Sheena escape some doubles, as she is a bit faster than most tanks.

I'm wonder how to run my Sheena. I've got two builds and need advice which you believe would work best.

Sheena

Killer Axe+
Bonfire
Ardent Sacrifice
Triangle Adapt 3
Renewal 3
Fortify Armor

Sheena

Killer Axe+
Bonfire
Ardent Sacrifice
Fury 3
Brash Assault 3
Fortify Armor

The first Sheena would focus on healing Effie to keep her above 50%. Any Red Units that would threaten her Effie handles.

The second Sheena is build to be her own lady, taking advantage of her bulk and weapon to trigger Bonfire for KOs. Fury and Ardent Sacrifice will get her below 50%, where Brash Assault 3 will trigger, leaving the only real threats being Red Units, who again, Effie manages.

So, this is where I'm at. I truly would appreciate any and all commetary you all might have. Thank you!

Personally, I'm not a fan of attempting to heal Effie while only being able to move one square at a time. It makes for a lot of difficulty just in positioning. But I might recommend, on the first set, reciprocal aid over ardent sacrifice. If Effie is really below half, she's either facing someone who's giving her a hard time or its near the end of the match and she needs a final push. Reciprocal aid might help out a lot more in that scenario.
For the second set (non-healing) with brash assault can possibly test Defiant Defense over Fury. The main reason for this is that there are few (if any) blue/green melee units that can one-shot sheena. So, if she gets pulled below half, she can bring her defense up to 43 and have substantially less damage done to her and be able to abuse brash assault much more. I've personally used this set on Beruka, who despite much lower Res, has similar other stats and had decent success outdueling all greens. Especially with Ignis doing 80% of your now buffed Defense, Defiant Defense is definitely worth considering. Its moderate risk, but decently high reward. This of course assumes Kagero is doing her job of cleaning up ranged units.

You know, you're absolutely right. I was so concerned with making sure she would reach 50% (plus, I mean, the added bulk from Fury 3 was nice) that I completely overlooked Defiant Defense 3. Excellent choice, thank you.

I think Olivia will be my final unit; I just see more utility using her. With Effie and Sheena not really gaining a buff from Eirika, I feel like having a Kagero who can attack twice is deadlier.

Thanks again. You were a big help.
