Negativity Over FB's event
So, as most of you have probably seen (cause it's everywhere when they ask for opinions on this event). The personal bit here is that I adored the event. The supports made up for the lack of orbs for me, as Supports add more depth to the characters, but that's me. Now unto the unbiased part.
Forging Bonds is an experience that was missing from this FE game that made it feel more alive, with more supports and character stories. This now makes me wonder why the negativity was so, harsh?
Pros
- More story, character development, and supports
- Chances for older units to be given supports in similar events like this one
- 16k Feathers, 18 Orbs, 20 Divine Dew and 8 Accessories
-If you like any of the characters, you'll enjoy the event more (unless you're a Awakening hater, in which case why do you hate it so much XD)
Cons
-Hight stamina cost. The Feathers may be worth it (and stamina potions may be aplenty) but I can see why this would suck
- Some of the rewards are lackluster. Namely the orbs (which are few, nearing the amount you get from Voting Gauntlet) and the Divine Dew which we wish was more
-You don't like the characters that are currently available (for whatever reason, be it cause you're one of the puritan FE fans that only likes FE1-5 , or simply because you only care for your faves)
-The maps were repetitive (the again the gamemodes are all kinda like that, so I'm not surprised)
-You expected something else (whether it was a defending gamemode, a different type of gamemode, or that you simply don't like the rng, which btw, if you're new, is in every fire emblem save for this one until now)
In short, I've heard the arguments regarding it's repetitiveness (TT has the same issues, and although I hear people argue over it being boring it's not to this level). Or that it's not what they wanted (people comparing it to Tap Battles which is easy orbs with music and incase you like Rhythm games you have something else to love) all the way to it just being boring to them because it didn't have X character and that they want it know.
I want to know your reasons (if I haven't stated it). Obviously this is a discussion, so try to be nice. Don't want flaming pitchforks (not like the Reddit sometimes) Now go ahead, agree, disagree, or try to chew my head off as the ritual demands.
(My opinions are never very...common for the community...just sayin)

It's just not very long-lasting. It was one of the more interesting game modes to hit FEH, but that's not saying much when compared to what we've gotten before (Tap Battle......). Once you get all of the rewards (and even before then for a lot of people), then you're pretty much done. What use do you have coming back and doing more?

I know, but that's precisely why I'm not in love with the game mode. You get the rewards, and then you're completely done. There's nothing else to do, and Tempest Trials' incentive is to try and beat other people's leaderboard scores for more feathers (which is not for me personally).
Like my other comment on a post a few below this one, a game mode that actually lasted longer than a few days is what I'd like to see. These short "get all the rewards and you're done!" modes can be okay within the first few days or so, but there's no real challenge, no real reason to keep going.
"Go as far as you can" that can give you, I dunno, 'x' feathers after each floor you complete, or a boss battle that can reward you with something after completing it is something that'd make the game interesting.
Feh can even give you a hint on the boss' weakness, like if it's, for example, Surtr, then you can bring a Water-blessing Hero to deal even more damage.

There's a problem with infinite modes that give feathers for certain floors. Eventually the difficulty will ramp up to near infernal points, and whales have the advantage there, pretty much giving whales a free feather farm if they strategize well with their bevy of +10 units.
And a boss rush sounds fine, until you notice that FEH isn't neccesarily made to work that way. Hell, our only base defense is Grand Conquest, so that should about sum up, and that's an official feature of most FE's. If it took them this long to implement a feature like that, Im unsure when they'll implement something that isn't even in a official FE game. But, I guess we'll see

Honestly, the only downside I can think of is the stamina cost. Lower it to like 10 and I'm good.
After thinking about it, I would like to recommend one other change. Maybe add another difficulty where it uses really strong player-created units. The reward would obviously be more points and maybe getting more than just one chest of points more often.
And the people who complain about the rewards being lackluster are most likely just upset at the fact there aren't as many reward orbs compared to other modes. I wouldn't mind more orbs, dew, stones, etc, but I think the support conversations and the bunch of feathers are really good rewards as is.

People need to stop bitching about the stamina cost, no one does the training tower anymore, which was the original stamina sink, ghbs are free to play now, storymodes are few and far between, and stamina potions are just stacking up like crazy because there is literally nothing to use them on anymore because everything either got reduced stamina cost or made irrelevant.
Stamina is there for a reason, and that reason is to keep people from being glued to their phone without taking any penalties, in this case, the penalties for playing too much eventually get to the point where youre paying just to play, via orbs.
Set the game down for a couple hours and go do something else, the event is up for 11 more days, theres PLENTY of time to cap every characters friendship by just using normal recharging stamina. Use your stamina, go do something for 8 hours, like sleep, read a book, go outside, learn a hobby, get a date, then when that 8 hours are up, come back, spend 15 minutes doing your little auto battles on lunatic mode, then set the game down and do something else.

Though I do agree with your sentiment on taking breaks. Stamina is in the game to make you use potions, and for those that love to grind, even use orbs if they run out. It isn't to stop you from playing because they care for your health. It's to stop you from playing, and if you're impatient, make you use an orb. That's how it works. I doubt Nintendo does Stamina to make you have a life XD

Almost every single gacha game has some kind of stamina mechanic because its not just to make players take a break, its to make them keep coming back for a fix. Cutting a player off when theyre in the middle of getting a fix without means of getting an extension means theyre more likely to pay up to keep playing.
Not only that, but the game literally shits out stamina potions. I typically use at most, 2 per day, but they keep piling up, over and over. Not only that but theres the my nintendo rewards where you can get more stamina if you really want to.

With me having over 300 stamina potions I have no problems with the stamina cost. Gives me a reason to actually use those potions of mine. I am perfectly fine with it being 15 stamina. I love everything about the bonding game. I love everything but arena, grand conquest, and the one that gives you those elements.
