Is the Mythic Heroes thing even that bad?

I mean, yeah if you want to score optimally you have to get +10 mythic heroes, sure. But since the seasons are rotating between light/dark and astra/anima, you only need to build up two heroes, and they are waaay easier to merge (at least Eir is) than Legendary Heroes, especially if they always appear on hero fest banners. These are also a good alternative to using Legendary Heroes in arena for those (such as myself) who have not invested in merges for them. It seems like a prett decent way to balance arena’s playing field while making some profit to me while not being too difficult for ftp players to keep up from what I can tell.

"Aether Raids ultimately is a fixed pool of resources and rewards (its own construction resources, and heroic grails), while Arena runs over into general resources and rewards (through orbs).

Arena is the bigger deal, ultimately."

Basically, if you don't like Aether Raids, you can largely divest from it and not be hurt as a player. (You really only have to play 3 times a week for the 20 regular grails.)

True, this doesn't completely answer the question for those going all in on AR.

The reason I'm going around saying it's more ugly than it is disadvantageous for f2p is because f2p could always get into AR T20 and top 3000 and people whaling for Eir+10 won't change that.

While I agree that in regards to aether raids it is definitely a negative addition, it isn’t THAT hard to keep up. I’m currently looking at potentially having a +5 Eir with just a month’s worth of orbs.

There seems to be a couple of missconceptions here.

Mystic heroes will alternate with legendary heroes in the legendary banners at the end of each month. Eir is available in this hero fest as an exception and a way to get us hooked up.

The most optimized mystic team is compromized of 3 +10 light or astra mystic heroes and 2 other units carring the blessings on offense and 2 +10 dark or anima mystic heroes and 4 other +10 units for defense.

Since seasons don't overlap, but instead cycle, it means that to get the maximum scores the rank 1 player would need 3+10 light and astra mystic heroes and 2+10 dark and anima. That's 10 maxed out units, 4 more than what arena required with legendary heroes.
