Mystic Boost on Caeda?

I know it’s better on ranged units with high resistance but I was wondering if Mystic Boost would work on her?
Since her main purpose it’s to take down armors (and cavalry, but they’re not a big problem), maybe Mystic Boost can help her with dragon armors too. Their breath usually targets the lower between def and res and since Caeda’s defense is crap but her resistance is good, disabling this skill may help her.
Will it work?

(I’m just speculating, nothing more)

Dragon breath only has adaptive damage against ranged units. They were always hitting Caeda's res and never her def. If you're trying to fight multiple dragons the 6HP heal is good, but I think she often lacks enough targets for it to be relevant. I don't think she's that good against unarmoured dragons because her atk stat is a bit low.

The issue is that if you go for iceberg + mystic boost, you're probably in trouble due to lack of desperation against non-dragon armours which is at least 80% of them as well as the 30%ish of cavaliers we see that aren't ranged.

Yeah I forgot about the whole ranged units thing. It definitely can still help her with a Fury build to raise her stats without the HP loss, but as you said her attack is still not high enough to do much.

You can perhaps still pair Caeda, Mystic Boost, and Fury, as Caeda is the odd unit that doesn't run DC (and is often player phase) that has an interest in every stat if you're running ploys or Iceberg - or, if you're focusing on dueling/sweeping melees, still has an interest in increasing 3 stats otherwise, as Caeda triggers Galeforce (if running it) in a manner of dueling (she deals one hit, the opponent deals one, she deals a follow-up) that requires attack, speed, and defense, all stats she really, really wants.

I'm saying all this as a guy who five-starred Caeda and found her very tricky to use, and was willing to fodder her quite a bunch of skills including rare ones like Swift Sparrow. Currently I have Swift Sparrow in the A and Swordbreaker in the B, but she often can't pull off Galeforce repeatedly in a match, except in opportunistic instances.

I run her with Swift Sparrow and Galeforce too and I agree she can’t pull it off repeatedly, but she’s still nice to use with that. With Fury + MB she can at least improve her stats a bit. I’d definitely think about that, my question was a bit stupid cause I forgot about dragon breath adaptive damage only working against ranged units, but she can probably make use of Fury + MB. I plan to run her in a Tactics Team since she desperately needs buffs everywhere.

If you can pull multiples of her, 1 for fodder and 1 for the team, then Eir is a pretty good partner for Caeda due the C skill.

(Caeda can also bait Veronica even harder with Mystic Boost and can whale on Surtr, so she's possibly a good Light blessing candidate.)

Yes her def is too low to take multiple hits. You need desperation if you want to do multiple fights.

The first combat fully charges galeforce, then after that it's every two combats because you don't get hit in the middle. Better than dying though. It's still possible to trigger it every turn, but if you don't attack again with the galeforce move then it won't be pre-charged for the next turn.

I've been looking at this thread and it strikes me that because Caeda is a paradoxical fragile duelist, she may want Mystic Boost but NOT paired with Fury, but with Swift Sparrow. Instead of preventing 3 damage healing 0 per combat (or preventing 6 if the opponent gets a guaranteed double), she can prevent 0 heal 6, and that probably works fine for her longevity, especially when any attack on a unit that can't counter restores her health, as opposed to nothing happening in the case of Fury (and her attack and speed each being 1 less in that case).
