is my roll any good?
Hi I just started playing FEH and after these free summons and wasting orbs I've got for first login, I've got 3 5* units:
• Lucina
• Linde
• Mist
I looked at tier list and noticed they're not any top notch, but should I do another account and try to get somethinig better?

What do you mean by champion? If you are referring to main characters from their respective games (e.g. Hector, Celica, Lucina) then yes, there are other things to focus on. If you mean legendary heroes or something like that, then again yes, but there's no denying that they're good.
Any unit with the right skills inherited and a couple of merges can perform really well.
Either way, look out for certain 3*-4* units too. Some will be totally worth it to upgrade, and others you will want for skills. Even a bad IV Caeda or Reinhardt, with the right skills, upgraded to 5*, can carry you pretty far into infernal content. They're not the only ones, just examples.

Ha your role is interesting because at the start of the game a year ago a roll with both Lucina and Linde would have been top tier. Now, both are okay but not meta defining. In general, every new player gets a a free tanky blue lance (Fjorm), tanky red sword (Legendary Ike), and Brave unit of your choice (most people pick Brave Lyn). I would re-roll until I got a top tier green unit and a good offensive blue. For example Fallen Male Robin or Myrhh would give you a powerful defensive core that could clear 90% of the game's content. A premium dancer would also be a huge boon such as Azura (outclassed ironically by some special seasonal variants of herself but still the best dancer in the regular summoning pool). Of course, alternatively, you could just focus on getting the characters you like. FEH isn't that hard and gives away enough free units that you'll be fine to clear everything but the hardest content with any team.

well first of all, imo you shouldn’t rely on any tier lists too much. how “good” or “bad” a character usually performs just really depends on how you built them up. Through merging, forging weapons, and skill inheritance, you can make any unit pretty damn good, regardless on whether or not they’re Tier 1. A lot of units I use that are fantastic in arena aren’t even Tier 1.
However that being said the only character that I’d consider “bad” when it comes to my standards is Mist. Among staff users her max stats are poor in comparison, and staff users already tend to be weaker offensively. There’s just a lot of better options, but hey, I’ve seen people effectively use her as a supportive healer/HP chipper.
Lucina and Linde are both considered fantastic and would make good teammates as well!
