My first attempt at drawing online
I decided to learn how to draw online instead of just on paper. Now the picture was going to be more in depth as you can see I chose a three dimensional pose because there was going to be a setting. But I forgot to save the file as a SAI so my layers didnt save. I decided to just run with and finish it anyway, but I may come back to it to try making the original design again. It may have been for the best because all of the elements I would have tried to add are a little complex for someone whos never drawn online before.
Anyway, tell me what you think! I drew best boy Gordin. I didnt use the heroes model, instead I went for a look a bit more faithful to the original. He's roughly 19-20 in this picture from . "Hey, I'm counting on you, just... thought you should know"

I just wish I knew what all these functions do LOL
At least I learned how to save the programs layers through this. But I'll have to retrace my drawing again. And until I get a drawing pad I dont think ill be able to paint them. I need tutorials but my love for Gordin couldnt wait for that

2/10
He's not dabbing.
I'm not a certified art professonial (since I suck pretty much at every aspect of it),but for only starting with it I think it looks good.
It has that personal touch that I like when I look at drawings.
So.... let's give you a 2.1/10, but next time he better dabs.

This is the best I can do in terms of helping you get better, because plain and simple you suck. It looks like you were using a mouse instead of a pen, and microsoft paint instead of anything else.
I'll list off every single thing thats bad with it.
1. Flat colors are shit, they'll always be shit unless you've got a workable style to go with them.
2. No shading at all anywhere, another cardinal sin.
3. The fingers look like shit instead of like fingers, just looking at his thumb makes it look like hes a goddamn animorph and has a paw instead of finger, what the fuck.
4. You saved it as a fucking jay peg instead of png causing artifacts, and if you dont know what artifacts are, zoom in and any part of your picture that has different colors.
5. His hair has no depth at all, like a Simpsons hedge.
6. His eyes are soulless.
7. His whole head is just all fucked up
8. The perspective makes it look like hes got a broken shin and is holding his leg up to show how broken it is.
9. What the fuck is that white line in the top right corner and on the right middle side?
10. Is he leaning against a tree, a wall, a fence, a horse legthats close up? What the fuck.
11. His proportions are ALL fuckered up, the body doesnt work the way you drew it, I had to take the time out of my day to go download a poser app to my phone and recreate the pose in a manner that isnt cancerous to the term "art". Ignore the gun, couldnt figure out how to remove it. The fact of the matter is that the way you drew him is impossible.
You need to put a lot more effort into your work, only a handful of artists can sit down and shit out great art in a couple hours, like look at boris, his arts shit, but his style works and his gotten good enough at it that he can fart out a brand new picture of a fire emblem girl in her new alt clothing within two hours of the reveal. No one is naturally just good, the only thing that difference between artists is how fast they can learn to do something, none of them just picked up a pencil and drew a masterpiece, they all had to work for their skill level.
>inb4 people whining about being mean
Listen here you bastards, you sit there and coddle someone, and they'll never improve because they'll sit there believing they're good enough, theres no such thing as good enough, the second someone becomes complacent is the second they degrade, for every great artists out there theres a dozen that never improved because they were always told theyre doing a good job and never felt any pressure to improve. These people become democrats and stay democrats until they grow as a human being and learn that skill only comes from practice and application.

"It looks like you were using a mouse instead of a pen, and microsoft paint instead of anything else" Yes. I said this in the original post. Not microsoft paint, but I only have a mouse. So I'll be limited to what I can do and I won't be able to shade like those artists. I can maybe add filter, shadows, and change the lines a bit but it's never going to be that good because of how using a mouse to draw works.
I wanted to post what I had but it's still a work in progress. I decided that what I drew looked decent enough for my first time so rather than redoing the lines again because of my lost layers I decided to post it and touch up a few things on color. And yeah LOL I forgot about the eyes but with this style id just add like a dot.
I appreciate the feedback nonetheless. But not everyone is motivated by a drill sergeant. I'm plenty determined to improve with this form of media regardless.
