The most underrated tank

So there are a lot of units who can tank. Quan, Leif, any armor, L!Marth, Seth, Beruka, Boey, Lukas, ECT... But the one I feel like no one talks about is Shiro.
I never hear a thing about him. He's basically a more expensive Lukas. And yes, I know. Lukas is no doubt better with availability and such. But in retrospect, Shiro having higher attack and much better speed just sells him more to me.
Idk, I just wish people would talk about Shiro more. Really underrated unit.

Man, I love Shiro, his art, and he's just an all around great unit and guy.

I went crazy on his banner for him and Siegbert, I got about three Siegberts, but got one shiro right when the banner was going to expire.

I was never more relieved.

Easier to get a perfect IV +10 Lukas and have him do Shiro's job than it is to get 1 copy of Shiro.

In my case, I don't even think I've gotten 1 Lukas.

Yeah Lil' Cheese has, like Alm, never shown up for me. Although to be fair neither has his dad in any form either. At least with Celica, I've had her non-tome forms show up.

Because in a f2p eyes they're never gonna get shiro or don't even know he exists. Shiro is better than Lukas for whales because his speed is higher and has a Legendary weapon. My shiro can kill dragons so I kinda wish I got more of him.

A few thoughts:

Shiro does NOT have higher attack than Lukas, both have 35.

Lukas has 3 higher defense than Shiro.

Having less speed is a GOOD thing! The idea is to get doubled to get specials faster and stack defense as high as possible (including team buffs) so that you take 0 dmg from most physical opponents (it's even possible to do this against greens). If you use something like Slaying lance+Steady Breath it is possible to activate bonfire on every single counterattack (so, 2 bonfires per fight)

With that said, there is nothing wrong with Shiro, he is perfectly good tank. I think the only issue is availability.

Boom. I got 3 of him back when L!Ephraim came out, so I decided to build him. He's +res/-hp if I remember correctly. He doesn't have everything in this build anymore, but when he was on my tactics team he was pretty dang tanky. Of course Lukas is much more available though, but Shiro is a good premium version of Lukas.

The main thing Shiro has over Lukas, is that he can accually fight dragons.
They often don't have high speed, but will double Lukas, yet not Shirou.

I do feel that he (and Siegbert) could use a refine, to earn their 5* spot more.
Meanwhile, I hope Lukas won't get a refine. I love Lukas, but he really works fine as is.

Agreed. Most people see him as a Lukas clone yet this +10 Shiro on my friend list proves he has the potential to be powerful in his own way.

Personally I feel Catria is also a very underrated tank, and she at least does have a case for easier accessibility. And she doesn't have a need for QR either, well at least with +spd/-res.
