Morgan and Merge Projects

Just finished my Nowi merge project (nothing special, standard defensive set SB/QR/Aether) and now I'm moving on to Morgan(M) +Spd -Def. I don't want to slap Fury on his A slot and call it a day and I don't want to use Blade tomes cause I already have bb Katerina for that...any suggestions of cool builds to utilise Grima's Truth? It seems like an interesting tome.

I kind of like the idea of bond skills on Morgan, because you want to have your allies close to you in order to abuse Grima's buffs, so the requirement of one ally next to him should be easy enough to fulfill.

Depending on the buffs on your team, I would actually prefer an atk boon in his case, as it pushes him to 54 atk when max merged and with atk/res bond, you can get to 59atk and 35res, which is ideal for dealing with green mages and such high attack can give you the ability to easily one shot Hectors and maybe even Myrrhs (depending on their own buffs tho), because you would be abusing the weapon triangle in those cases. A high atk stat like this can also allow you to utilize heavy blade seal to help charge aether, which you'll probably want to add for arena scoring if he's an arena project.

The +spd offensive builds usually just tend to go towards an atk/spd increasing skill + desperation, which is a pretty boring combo (even though it works nicely), which is why I think that a different IV might give you more freedom in terms of your build.

I run mine on a mixed team with dual tactics (Res tactic on C slot, Def tactic on SS)
Eventually I want to run other members with tactics too, but since I'm lacking Atk and Spd tactic, the buff from Grima's Truth works fine just as well (effectively buffing all stats for everyone else)
I was thinking whether to put Swordbreaker or G Tome breaker on B, and I went with former because there are a lot more speedy sword users out there that not even my blade tome F Morgan can take out sometimes, while G Tome breaker is mostly because of baiting flying nino on enemy phase, but I can get around that by not baiting her and taking her out next turn.
A slot I use swift sparrow, because attack and speed are his best stats. Bond skills, as suggested by the other user, also sound interesting if you're planning to use his tome as the main buffing tool. His res isn't the highest (26) but with atk/res bond it can reach 31, which is pretty good.

Well it's all theoretical but just checked his stats again and somehow liked the idea.
Have 5 copies of him myself and even if I have no special favor for him and a lot of other red mages competing even stronger for that team slot I am somehow interested in him. As I wont merge more than one red mage it will come down to him or Lilina someday. (still a very low priority for now with +atk Celica summoner support).

Here my thoughts:
- requires merges
- capitalize on good defensive stats for a mage in both types
- Average offensive power and strong when boosted with tome
Close Counter
Vantage (or QR or Breaker etc)
C maybe some drive skill? Due to the same range as grimas truth. Threaten Res?
Seal depending on stats: CD3, offensive stats?

Player phase -> Attack and apply buff & debuff
Enemy phase -> Hit harder and get hit less powerful (and reapply buffs)
