More weapons

I saw a question a bit ago about letting characters change their weapons. I had a different idea: once a character reaches level 40 or max HM or something, they get a secondary weapon related to them. For an example: Deirdre, once getting max HM, would be able to use staves. Lucius could use Blue Tomes, Libra could get staves, Etc. They wouldn’t get brand new legendary weapons, just access to another type of weapon. Would this be a good change?

Idk would devalue everyone positions and just making it about the weapon effect not the characters
Almost like fates where everyone could be the greatest sniper etc class if everyone could change characters lose value and then what would the point of alts be.

Different stats? IDK, if they did go and do this I hope it would only be for units that could be better as a different weapon class
