More Demotions?

Don't get me wrong, it's nowhere near as bad as it was last year, since they went in and "fixed" the summoning pool by demoting a bunch of natural 5*s to 3-4 (and buffed healers) summoning focus units has gotten much easier. However, this is bound to erode over time. I haven't had a terrible time getting one copy of units I really try for, but it does seem as if pity breaks and less useful units are beginning to happen more frequently again to many members of the community, as is to be expected with them demoting just one unit of the 3-4 they release with each banner. What have you all experienced recently? (Am I just complaining because I summoned 2 Lukes and an Ares before Flora or...?)

Luke is still available at 5* star rarity? I thought he was demoted by now.
I also think it's much, much better now. I've had the misfortune of summoning a 5* Marth and 5* Oscar from the same summoning circle, once.

Luke. Sword Calvary with Fire Boost and Panic Ploy. Has been a 5* exclusive for the entire game. Pretty crap unit too, unless you're wanting fodder or just want another new unit I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

I can understand your opinion of Luke. He was good in the past where we didnt have refinery yet.

At that point, fire boost worked much better with his Hp spread. But now its just too low, considering that his weapon cant be refined for the additonal 5 Hp.

If he takes another weapon and has high hp then he reaches at least 51 hp with would be ok for his Boost Skill. Also his spd and atk reaches a decent amount then.

I wouldnt say he is worse or something, in more situations he is better than cain. But his statline is a bit outdated, his hp isnt high enough for fire boost or panic ploy.

At this point, he should be a 4 Star Unit now.

Before it was pretty rare for me to get pity breakers, but now it seems to be a lot more common. I've gotten Elise, Tana, B Lyn, Micaiah, and Maribelle within the past 2 weeks, but I can't really complain since they're pretty good. Tana could use a refine at this point though.

Ive actually been pity broken more frequently, I got HS!Xander after being pity broken four times. Tried to get S!Tana/S!Y!Tiki, I got S!Noire (not complaining) and Katarina.

I hope some uits with valuable skills are released into the 4/3* pool. Like: Luke, Katarina, Sonya, Hinoka, Karel, Silivia, F!Morgan, Faye.

Quite a few of those have reasons for being five stars though

F! Morgan will stay as 5* exclusive for quite time, simply because she is flying mage, not to mention she is really good with blade tome.

I rarely get any pity breakers but I had few in couple months it was Zelgius, Linde, Saber, Hardin, M!Morgan, Julia, Celica those all I can remember...
I'm good with it since some are great even tho I have better iv copy, some are useless (Linde for example, I have better iv one) some are welcome (Saber and Julia) I didn't spend all that much for them, some are free summons (Zelgius sure is) so I'm happy I got em.

Sorry, correct if I'm wrong, but I dont think adding more 5*s makes it harder to summon for focus units. There's still a 3% chance for each group to summon a unit. So even if the 5* Pool gets bigger, all it should mean is that it's harder to get any one specific unit from a pitybreaker. However, the chance to summon a focus unit should still be the same.

IS still needs to demote some units though, specifically from the 5* exclusive pool. As far as I'm aware, only 5*-4* units got demoted and all the 5* exclusives are staying where they are when units like Mist really shouldn't be there.

Yep, IS demoted only units from 5* - 4* to 4*-3*. I agree that a lot, if not all old 5* only should be demoted (exluding Hector, Takumi, Nephenee due to having DC CC and Wrath), YTiki, Luke, Faye, Lyn, Saber has little to no right to be 5* exclusives.

I say all those that have been 5* exclusive since launch should all be demoted, even if it's just to 4-5 rarity, so we can finally get them and merge them. I want to do Lucina to +10. They could then set it up so new units not demoted after their banner ends get demoted a year later.

Really any unit with an inheritable weapon should be demoted. Why IS has Valor skills as automatic 5* lock is beyond absurd, with the rotating GHBs costing 0 stamina, the only thing SP gaining costs is time, so why should a skill that improves this be 5* locking material?
