mode that reverts back to original game

idk if anyone would use it but i think itd be neat if they had an arena mode that would take off any refinery/inherit skill/blessing on your unit
itd be super cool if you could design a team of units (maybe all??) with just their base stats & skills, but maybe thats just me

the idea is inheritance is supposed to be a different version of a second seal. basically letting you get skills from another class but with limitations since most characters can't go to any class. I kinda doubt that they would do this since it removes the whole point of builds and then low tier units would just become completely useless. this kind of a game mode would skew the meta even more than normal making high tiers the only thing useable and low tiers completely useless. stuff like armor emblem would become rediculous since they could just have a team of units with the natural armor buffs. I get where your coming from but it would be broken as all hell.

The only problem is that most of the new units that basically come pre-built are going to destroy literally everyone

Yeah this is my only real qualm. I've been playing since day 1, I remember the days where Takumi was king of the arena, and the only thing worse than running into a merged Takumi was running into several merged Takumis. Would make the blood drain from my face.

Takumi can't hold a candle to some of the units being released nowadays. A standard Fell Dragon Robin (male Grima) would absolutely ruin Takumi, along with most other Gen 1 units. And other units that used to be competitive (e.g. Kagero) lost their edge, not because of changes in gameplay mechanics, but because so many new unit releases shifted the meta out from under them (much fewer infantry targets nowadays).

That being said, if it were well implemented, I would totally be happy for an optional format that simplifies the game a bit.

I'd definitely find that mode cool. It would make some units Robin M/F better since you can't just their tome to a different unit.
