Merric or Boey

Imo the two most underrated Green Mages. And I don't know which one to build first.
Merric is either +atk or +def (can't remember which) and Boey is +atk. Both unsure who I want to start with. And I have a lot of merges waiting for them.

I'll go with Mr.RoyBoi and would say Boey since if you can't make him work as a damage dealer maybe (not having the right IV's for your desire or Skills) you could still make him work as a tank.

And he looks pretty badass.

How do you feel about Merrick's prf/refine?

If it's not really your thing, then go with Boey, their stat lines are similar enough that for the most part Boey should be slightly more effective in most cases.
