Merging units

Hey. I have a Sonya, which inherited a couple of skills. Today I got another one with better IV (+spd-def) and I wanted to merge them, since the other one has pretty average IV and I don't really need to have two at a time and I doubt I will ever give mirror strike to somebody.
The question is. If the new one eats the old one who has inherited skills, will those skill automatically get equipped on the new one? The game interface doesn't really give any info about that.

Yes all skills will already be learned once merged

They won't be equipped, so you have to manually equip them. They will be transferred over to the new unit though.

+SPD,-def is probably the best you could get on Sonya indeed.
Do not worry, the merging system is pretty well-made, basically it will transfer every skills and merged stats, plus adding one merge (so 2 bonus stats) to the unit you choose to keep (so the best IV among the 2).
