Merging with blessings

Ok, another of my stupid questions (in my opinion). I've a Lon'qu +2 with a Water Blessing, and, I pull a Lon'qu with better IV's, so, If i merge he with the +2, what happens with the Water Blessing?, I'll very disaponited if i lose the Water Blessing.
