Merging a 5* into a 4*

If I merge a 5* into a 4*, will the 4* gain all of the known abilities of the 5*? I have a bad IV Nowi with Moonbow, Lancebreaker 3, and Triangle Adept 3, and a 4* Nowi with good IV's. Do I need to make the 4* a 5* to inherit all abilities?

Yes, she will, but you should promote her first anyway to keep the +1. Nowi comes as 5* too, so making a 4*+10 seems silly to me, but this comes from someone who dislikes merging 4* units anyway, so take that with a grain of salt.

You don't have to raise the star count to get the abilities, but you should ABSOLUTELY still turn her into a 5-star before merging. If you merge before unlocking potential , you will lose the stat boost when you do decide to. Nowi is a great unit to invest in, so it's worth the wait.
