Merge Project Suggestion

So I finally finished my girl who is pictured! So now I need another merge protect to work on! Who is an unit available at 3*/4* who isn’t red or Nowi you think would be fun to build with a super expensive skill set and eventually build up to 5*+10. Nothing is off the table skill wise so suggest away!

My current best boy! I was thinking him since my Lilina started off as a 4*+10 herself. So I might take your suggestion haha

If you already have a 4* +10, keep that one and merge another one with 5 stars, that's too much work to go to waste there.

The choice is obvious: A character you really like.

Unrelated Question. Why Spd Ploy? To help out the rest of the team?

I like all FE characters which is why this is tough for me haha!

And yes. Since Forblaze comes with Chill Res built into it she has access to Atk/Spd Ploy. I just happened to have Spd equipped when I took the screenshot.

If you have the fodder, probably not now, try Odd Atk Wave. It will augment her independent power even more.

Ishtar is my 5* exclusive merge project so I could never sacrifice her but that is def a good idea for the future. Thank you!

Catria is totally the way to go! Nothing beats a flying tank! (Still hunting for that perfect IV). With all the emphasis on speed these days (I'm especially looking at you Sumia) it gives her a tiny niche as I find that 1 point in attack to be more important than speed most of the time 2*0 = an extra charge! Also I should update that picture to "Seal Atk/Def" as it really helps to take out those red armors before Black Luna/Iceberg proc.

If you want units that require lots of expensive skills, go for DC armours. Vengeful Sheena/Gwendolyn, for instance.

If you don't like armours, maybe Cordelia's one-turn galeforce? Requires sacrificing Y.Ike, Roderick, and potentially F.Celica/YT Olivia for chill spd (which is my recommendation). I wouldn't use that build without supporting with hone fliers though.

Soren is an idea, but you already merged a mage. You can give him atk/spd bond, chill spd, maybe some ploys, ...

If you want something a bit unconventional, consider Bartre, Barst, or Hawkeye. (I guess Camilla also isn't too mainstream.) Or Libra. His BST is good for arena score and he's a good candidate for DC. (Or Fae, who's relatively mainstream.)

I’ve got a +6 Soren with a similar build like that so maybe I’ll finish him up. And a +1 Cordelia with that set waiting for Chill Spd fodder haha I like the idea of Gwendolyn bc I’ve got 5 of her sitting in my barracks at the moment. I just need more DC fodder wah. Thanks for the suggestions!

Effie, Wendy, Fae, and Sheema are good picks.

Would you consider Shigure? He can be built in many ways. Firesweep is his best if you want another offensive unit.

Okay all of your responses made me realize I have a lot more merge projects going on than I thought. Sheena, Raven and Soren. So maybe I’ll finish those up first. Thanks all ❤️

Can't go wrong with best girl.

My current build project is our hero of the voting gauntlet, Shanna. Was a fan of her before, but she's been surprisingly great in a lot of situations. Cycle the C slot out with what have you for mix Emblem teams. I have a Lilina merge project going as well so she occupies the majority of my Heavy Blade's time. It's too bad Flashing Blade is super restricted.

Beruka, mixed tank specifically. I would recommend +res/-Spd, slaying axe+ res, reposition, ignis, Distant Defense 3, Guard 3, Panic Ploy 3, and Close Def 3 seal

My suggestion would be Cherche, people always go for the Brave Axe Deathblow build, but I find that she is actually really good flying tank if you merge her. (Mine is stuck at +5 cause I haven't pulled her since January 🙃). I most of the time run her with slaying axe to make aether more consistent, but once she gets up to higher merges I might just run slaying hammer to deal with pesky armors.
Distant counter is expensive, but with it she can survive a lot more mages cause she will one shot most mages that hit her with a neutral match up. The only things that in my experience give her problems are red dragons and red mages, but she can survive one hit most of the time due to her HP.
It is unconventional, but it is super fun
