To merge or not to merge.

I have a spare Micaiah to merge into my +att -res Micaiah, a Sigurd to merge into my +SPD -RES Sigurd, a shigure to merge into my +SPD-RES shigure, a W!Robin to merge into my +ATT -RES W!Robin, a +att -def Leif and a + SPD -HP Leif, 2 M!Grima to merge into my +att -res M!Grima. I am a long time player, but honestly even with the skills these units have they don't seem like much of an issue to not have for inheritance.

Micaiah is, what, Distant Defense fodder? I'd merge.

Sigurd is Close Def fodder? I'll say merge unless you were using someone with Safeguard

Shigure is Harmonic Lance fodder? I'd merge.

W!Robin I'd fodder Tannenboom+.

Leif I'd merge.

M!Grima has, what, Vengeful Fighter? I'll say fodder if you regularly use Armor Emblem, or plan to use Armor Emblem. If not, and M!Grima is one of the few exceptions that you use for Armored units, then I'd merge.

I say always merge Micaiah, but I'm super biased in that regard. Like how I can't understand why people fodder Mia ever! Although I can't really talk because if Veronica ever pitybreaks me she's instant fodder cause I don't ever want to use her.

And I didn't give anyone Safeguard but I did fodder off my extra Sigurd for this. I don't regret it.

Interesting. The first three are really good fodder in my books although somewhat niche. Sometimes they can take burden of demand off breath or bond skills (say, for B-teamers)

Yeah, they're not bad skills or anything, but I'd personally just merge them.

Distant Defense can be good, especially on Triple Distant Defense (Guard Bow) users, but I don't have any of those, and the number of archers that people would run those on are either 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘧𝘦𝘸 or 𝘯𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵. It also helps units that have Distant Counter built into their weapon, but those units tend to have arguably better A slot skills, or don't really want/need the extra def/res from distant enemies.

Close Def, like I mentioned, is nice on units with Safeguard, or mages with CC built in to their weapon (unfortunately we don't have any mages with built-in CC) for added defense, but, in my opinion, I'd rather use a different A skill if I'm not using Safeguard.

Vengeful Fighter.... I don't really used armored units, so I can safely merge that and not feel 'guilty' about doing so.
