merge or build

i've been playing for a while now and now im deciding if i should keep building new units or super merge units and since i'm really indecisive, I'm asking here

I think he's asking whether to use the resources he has to try and start a merge project or if he should start building units he has first before even trying to merge.

Maybe he's a fairly new player asking for advice from veteran players?
