Merge Hector (LA) or not?

Apparently i was lucky and pulled another Hector on the Valentine's Day banner. So I would like to know if I should merge them or give Distant Counter to another unit and if so what unit.

DC fodder is always useful. If you intend on shooting for Tier 20 as a dolphin or F2P, then I would use him as DC fodder on a F2P unit like Berkut's Lance Effie or perhaps Sheena.

Hold onto him, DC is such an amazing skill on some units.

Hold on until you have a need for DC. Don't merge him.

I actually whaled a little for him, and got 5 copies in 300 orbs. Built the best one, foddered two and got two more for when I actually pull Myrrh and Ayra.

Unless you whale hard (think 1k orbs), you're not gonna +10 him. If you're F2P or even a dolphin, you're better picking up a unit that you can merge up with feathers for your Core team.

I'd merge because Hectors possibly my favourite unit anyway, but distant counter fodders probably more valuable, there's really no point asking us just do what you want
