Mage candidate for close counter

I'm looking for a good mage to give close counter to, preferably someone that has 30+ def and and 40+ HP with nice attack, ideas?

Either Robin, Boey, Spring Camilla or Sophia are good to this cause.

For Robin & Camilla it makes them lose Triangle Adept, so that's not ideal.

If you keep Gronnowl on Boey and add Close Counter on him, he'll be really good in the frontlines, flanked by allies.

Sophia is really slow, but sports great defense and resistance, as well as a good attack. You will probably need to add Quick Riposte to her and Raourblade. So that's quite the investment to make her good.

According to his bulk you might even consider Merric. I used him as a tank like fronst row character as he can take average 2 hits (+) and his atk wasn't bad either (but was running with buffs from Eirika)

On Blade Spring Camilla or other Blade Cavalry i would say go for it should be bis and the nightmare for all players. If not Robin/ Boey seems to be the best for but still think here too that Triangle Adept are better for them.
