Well... seeing the blue dragons' rating, i dont think he could get 4.0 points neither less... his alternative gender in other universe, (F) Kana, has 5.0 on rating, but like myrrh, no DC weapon like the god-like Grima.
To get 5 at rating, there are many many judgement to damage position of the character as his role at arena, as his BST, etc. Being child is some of the bests boons, only 4 points before some armors
If he cannot get 5.0, will be for one critical characteristic inherent to him.... being only mergeable by events. Bad for arena at 20s , not soo good for lunatic quests, but perfect for favorite characters, being free to get one.
Also, there is only a exception to this, BK, even with a alternative version of him, he dont get demotion (i think FE heroes characters doesnt get any rating lowered, even with new metas..).
Well, DC has heavly upgrated his position, but not even Xander/Camu with DC weapons have gotten desireable rating, being near 3.0 points...
Not like masked marth, a clone and naked skill set (trolling of the IS by my opnion), Male Kana has some diference of (F) Kana, and good(not great) skill set... He deserves a lot, but water breath not being DC weapon, make doubts against his utility, being freely damaged by ranged, also he most times cannot double them, due high investment into spd of bow/mages foes at arena, also, (M) kana's middling atk. This an be fixed with the only and most easy DC weapon to inherit, lighting breath, with nowi and Adult tiki, two pools of colours at non-exclusive star--- but nowadays is being dificult to summon by the increasing population of reds and blues...
What are your thoughts? Does he deserve 5.0 rating? or 4.5 like good TT/GHB characters? Also, a tier along side with Nowi and his mother? or subpar like ninan?
Eh, I mostly don't care about what other people think as far as ratings for characters.
Does he deserve a 5.0 rating? That mostly depends, but it's not like not getting a 5.0 rating means the unit is trash.
As for what tier, my thoughts on that is pretty much the same as the previous ones.
I think he definitely deserves a 5.0 rating in my opinion; he has the statline to effectively run the classic steady/warding breath dragon build with lightningbreath, and can do what all the other dragons can.
Think of him as a sidegrade between Corrin and Nowi: compared to Nowi he has much higher natural speed than along with better res and def, but has less HP and atk, and compared to Corrin he has much better atk and res but slightly less speed, hp and def.
