Lunar brace seems wasted on a unit like Eirika

If damage = half of the foe defense,
i think it would be better if it went to ignis users or someone like Raven or linde

Thoughts?

We don't know her stats, and it had to be worded in such a way to stack with Luna/MB
You're right, a unit like Raven could use it better, but he isnt a legendary hero
Also why on an Ignis user, they have high defense, ignis is true damage, Lunar Brace is true damage(think wrath) so you'd want it on a unit like chrom who either wants to one shot win harder, or a unit like say Cain, or like Laslow who have less than average attack, hit on the physical side, and want to deal damage

Ya, but why would that matter, I'd rather hit for my entire attack stat on a 4turn cool down, or 80% against a unit like arden (who has the highest physical bulk up to +5) assuming she has decent speed (30+) and decent attack (35+) she will orko every unit in the game, seems good to me

Im noticeing people calling the lunar b skill as a "true damage" skill like wrath/wo dao yet we dont know if it does that lol. Im thinking it does a bonfire eff but using enemy def and adds to "atk score". Course we need to see eirika's atk stat first and i believe its under 50 if she has that b skill to compensate.

From the wording we do
It is literally
"Slows Special trigger (cooldown count+1). Deals damage = 50% of foe's Def when Special triggers."
Compared to wrath
"If unit's HP ≤ 75%, Special cooldown count-1 at start of turn if Special triggers by attacking. If Special triggers, +10 damage from Special."
Compared to Ignis
"Boosts damage dealt by 80% of unit's Def"
And you're right, a bonfire effect is true damage, it is irregardless of other stats and is based on one (Regnal astra, iceberg, bonfire, draconic aura, and vengeance) except it'll be based on an opponent's stat.
WE OnLY DONT KNOW IF IT STACKS WITH MOONBOW/LUNA OR IF THE DAMAGE IS BASED ON THE LOWERED STATS
Other than that, we know more or less how it functions

According to Gamepedia's page on damage calculation, moonbow, luna, and aether don't actually treat the foe's def/res as reduced by a percentage because it doesn't affect stuff like Light Brand. If a foe who would normally get the 7 flat damage applied against them loses 50% to both def and res, the difference between the two might go below 5 points, but the effect will be applied against them anyways. So Gamepedia says that a better description of the moon specials is basically what we get on the lunar brace, which is that it's actually burst damage except it scales off the opponent's defensive stat rather than any stat on the unit, in which case I think it's almost certain that lunar brace activates based on the opponent's full def or res rather than whatever her special supposedly reduced.

No because it'd be WAY overkill. Sure overkill is fun, but it isn't effective. She can probably get her special off faster than those units can
