Lukas IV Question

Right now I have a +atk -def Lukas+3 with the standard FD3 + QR2 build, when pulling on the Christmas banner I got a 4* +atk, -hp. Next time I have 20k feathers should I upgrade and merge him?

Upgrade, but merge the -Def into the -HP. The extra def helps with Ignis/Bonfire and with taking hits. Mine is +Def but, this is what I run. I use close def as he won't be dealing ranged foes well. I'm not done with him but, it's still good to look at.
