lowkey want an Ayra

I dunno, she just looks fun. I really like the "optimised" stuff they do with the Slaying Sword for 1 an instant R.Astra, and even a lot more with stuff like DC and Wrath...looks fun as hell, and it's insane how powerful she is off of her unique special.

Not to mention, her chibi is kind of adorable to me. She looks mad and cute at the same time. I never even tried to summon for her...

She's fun to use, but without a healer she dies pretty quick. Not 1 shot quick, but after nuking the first target, she probably won't survive the second.

Why.

Because her bulk isn't the greatest? Most builds don't run vantage and even then you'd have a special half the time. Sure, her defense is decent but her resistance sits at 21 at neutral.

Didn't say she wasn't fun to use(Literally said the opposite) just that she's an offensive unit and that you shouldn't just throw her into battle. She doesn't have any sort of healing abilities because R.Astra is the thing that makes her such a good unit.

I'm aware she's never really a magic tank, but that never seemed to have stopped people...my theory is she's still fast enough to be able to carry her battles through with Desperation, after that. And then there's Wrath, which allows her to likely oneround plenty of stuff that aren't countertriangle bulky dudes.

Seriously, a lot of people give her DC. At some point, I had to figure out why that is...

Because she survives the first hit. You go into Arena and you run into an Ayra with DC and Slaying Edge, you need to stop and think about how you go about the battle. The other 3 units aside, the exact moment you hit Ayra, she'll have her special ready and will fire and most likely kill your unit. You can bait her out on enemy phase, but she's a fast unit and can probably double you.

Put QP on her and she'll fire one off immediately on any phase. Put Phantom Speed on her and that's additional damage for her special.

Think about it, what's the most dangerous thing about a unit like Zelgius? Black Luna. How do the normal builds go? SB/WB with BF with QR(Or QP). He has DC built into his weapon and can fire off a special that leaves you with only 20% of your defenses. He dies pretty quickly to magic, but you better get rid of him immediately OTHERWISE, you will more than likely die immediately.

In no way was I saying she's a bad unit, only that she isn't a sturdy one. Not every great unit needs to take a hit. Plain and simple.

You can argue this, but the facts are still the same.

That's actually a really good point, but it's basically only has Arena Defense value (something people don't pay much attention to). And in that case, it'd only be effective against people without a solid Red counter. And another thing, having QP would tend to make her a lot less effective since she wouldn't be having the Spd to do those things without being +Spd and targeting the exact unit.
