a little disappointed by the main story ...

I don't know for you guys, but I was convinced the Askr trio were going to get weapons refinement thanks to the "cold ritual".
It could have been a good way to allow them to have more powerfull weapon to kill Surtr ...

The story itself is.. bad, to begin with, so I did not have any high expectations but yeah it would've made sense to give them weapon refinements

If it was happening at any point that was the time, it's not looking good for them I have to say. I hope the new power will do nothing and then they'll have to quest to find their own upgrades. We still have to get to 13 chapters to match book 1 so there's time but... yeah, I'm not hopeful.
