Lilina build options

I refined Lilina's Forblaze and I don't have much of an idea on what to do with her. She's +spd -res and I know she has superbooned Spd. I initially wanted to make her a bit speedy on the player phase by giving her darting blow. But since her refined Foreblaze really hones in on dishing out huge damage I'm starting to re-think that build. Any ideas? I imagine Fury will make it in the build.

Death Blow 3 is arguably her best A skill since it also combines with her tome's Death Blow 3 for a combination of +12 on initiation. I don't really know what your B, C, and S slots are, so...

Yeah. :)

Report

The B and C skills are what I'm struggling with too... She can't really run a Desperation build due to her still subpar spd even with the superboon... If I had it I'd totally give her chill res but sadly I don't...:/

Report

She already has Chill Res in her Forblaze. For her B skill, mine has Swordbreaker, but I might change it since she can kill 95% of Sword units in a single hit. The other 5% are Sigurd, Enemy Phase Ayra, and Zephiel. At this point her B slot is very much flexible. Wings of Mercy and Desperation (with Brash Assault) come to mind.

You could always run desperation+brash assault if you're set on buffing speed, it, at the very least, guarantees a follow against people who can fight back, especially if you don't already out speed them.

Report

I was thinking about desperation build, but while she has a speed boon she's not fast enough I think for her to pull off consistent 2 shots since she doesn't even make it to 30 speed. So with that in mind I feel like it's more beneficial to try and ohko people or at the very least do a crap ton of damage to a unit. I've never thought of using brash assault though so thanks for that.

Chill Res would be useless on her. Absolutely useless. She already has it on her weapon, and the two debuffs won't stack.

The -res really hurts, because it makes it harder for her to run ploys. A +S/-D could run Fury + Spd Ploy, and achieve a decent 37 effective spd.

If you really want to keep +S/-R, maybe Fury, bowbreaker, atk ploy, QR?

She should still be able to ploy BLyn, and survive one hit. Off the top of my head, -Def Lilina will also survive one hit, but neutral Def will survive +A BLyn.

Her Spd won't double much, but it protects her from some doubles, and she can double on EP with QR.

The old setup for BLyn was refined Raudrwolf, which doesn't need atk ploy because it ignores buffs, and doesn't need bowbreaker because it OHKO's. You might want to consider that too.

Not necessarily, I mean you can increase her speed, but you probably shouldn't considering how many slots it would take to do so. Instead of increasing what she excels at, damage, you'd be increasing what she's poor at, which is speed.

Lilina was never really made for speed, and even if you increase her speed stat, she won't really double that many units compared to what she could double with her 29 speed.

It's just one of those things that CAN be done, but you're essentially wasting potential by doing so.

Report

It is still workable since she at the very least can be protected from being doubled which is always nice and helps with her magical bulk. You could try pulling off making her into a supermerge and giving her speed boosting things like L&D or darting blow (which is what I considered doing). But I think still when you compare her other stats +Atk is most beneficial because of her high attack, and now with Foreblaze refinement.

Report

It's workable, yes, but she really shouldn't be in the face of danger to begin with. If you're increasing her attack and speed with Life and Death, then her defense and resistance would sink and become even worse than they are, so she'd need constant Reposition/Drawback/Sing/Dance support to get out of danger, not to mention that, if used with Death Blow 6, should be pretty much nuking anything and everything she comes across, and anything that she can't eviscerate should be something her teammates can handle.

Like you stated, it's nowhere near as beneficial as just working on her attack.

Wait until Saias is released. He will come with Spd Ploy, and if you run Life and Death and Desperation with Spd Ploy, Spd +3 seal, and a couple merges now that Lilina is 3* available, I think you can pull off a solid build for her with Spd.

Report

Why would you run Spd Ploy on a unit that has 27 base res, which would be lowered to 22 res due to Life and Death...?

Am I missing something? Doesn't Spd Ploy activate when the units resistance exceeds that of the opponent?

I feel like I'm missing something.
