So I know that some units are more likely to be focus units in the arena, mostly F2P units. With the new patch, focus units get large stat boosts in battle like in tempest trials. Does this mean likelihood of being a focus unit is/should be incorporated into their position on the tier list?
No, bec tiers assume by default that you have access to all fodder, so by this logic it assumes that you have access to ALL units, and therefore arena bonuses should not matter.
Its like.....everyone CAN run 5+10 cherches...but hector is still top tier. So rarity of a unit does not matter.
And remember that arena is also based on the potential score weight of a unit. Not just being a good unit.
Likelihood of being bonus unit is random, except for askr trio, fjorm and newly released units (for once only). I do think that they should re-evaluate askr and fjorm for this since most people only use them as bonus units anyway. Other than that, it should have no impact on the tier list.
Maybe for the askr trio, since they are always bonus units. Outside of them, I don’t see that happening, since it’s still a very unpredictable factor to be considered.
Anyways, if you have a bonus unit that can function well during that arena season, their tier shouldn’t really matter.
