Lewyn -atk fodder?

So I just pulled a -atk +res Lewyn with a ticket (after spending all 100+ orbs of mine yesterday trying to get 2 of him, one for fodder, one to build). I also pulled a neutral Ophelia yesterday.

I was going to level him up with her to try them both out first, but would it be worth it to special spiral Ophelia?

I needed a strong green mage slightly more than blue (I have a meh, +spd -def, Micaiah already), but it's tempting to just make Ophelia my go-to blue mage and wait for another green with decent ivs.

How would I build him to salvage, if I kept him?

If you need a strong green mage, a good budget option is Nino. Though she heavily relies on her blade tome, she's still a great green unit that's easy to get and build with good IVs.

Regarding Lewyn: He still has 45 at Atk bane, +6 from his base kit C skill, plus 4 from his base kit A skill, totalling 55 Atk which is still useable imo. Though he'll miss out on some KO's from bulky greens, he can still KO blues easily if he doubles them and has Flashing Blade + Moonbow or something like that.

True.. but isn't the point of a glass cannon nuke kinda to be able to also kill same color match-ups when needed?
.. Then again the number of units that are strong enough to survive is prolly not too large.

I guess I'll just have to judge for myself after I use him at lol 40 for a bit. Still not an easy choice, considering Ophelia with special spiral can even take down a lot of greens herself.

I say some match ups because two of the units I've been seeing recently is Sheena and Surtr. When built right, those two can easily survive Lewyn like nothing, especially if he has an Atk bane. Not 100% sure if a neutral Atk stat or a boon can 2HKO those two since I haven't done the calcs.

Basically that. It's easier to get to use a unit and get a feel for them that way you can make changes than it is to theorize. If anything, you still have your Ophelia to fall back on if Lewyn isn't up to your standards.

I actually have been leveling a 4 star neutral Nino before I have the feathers to promote! A +atk - spd one recently appeared as well, but I think she'd be better as a first merge eventually.

Ophelia is a goddess with Special Spiral, so I'd whole-heatedly support killing Lewyn for her. I got my first on the Hero Fest, got him to lv40 for the conversation then gave him to my Ophelia, no regrets. As above, Nino's a great green mage and can be easily 4* merged giving her neutral stats of 35/35/38/21/28, Lewyn only advantage over her is Forseti.
