Let's talk about an underrated unit.

Camilla. She in my opinion is one of the best Distant Counter user. With Summoner Support, some buffs and Iote's Shield SS, she can tank all the units in the game, thanks to her high res and good def and hp. Guys, what do you think about this Bewitching Beauty?

BEGONE THOT.

Kidding aside, all her stats are fair to middlin', but as a tank, you're better off with Beruka, which a lot of folks have been keen on abusing, and seem to be more underrated than her liege.

If you don't have one like mine, (-atk +hp) then maybe, but if one like mine, savage blow fodder

I haven't played any FE games besides this, is there any chance Camilla gets a prf weapon?

And to OP, I do like Camilla too. I honestly like heroes that have bulk to them and have decent damage as opposed to glass cannons. Currently debating to build my +atk/-hp or +def/-hp Camilla.

I dunno, Its just my gut feeling. I kinda expect other heroes aside from Awakening/Fates to get their own weapon refinement next time hence why I think its unlikely. (I dont dislike Awakening/Fates though) *^*

I mean, your Camilla is interesting(starting off from there)... however due to her stats being middling, and the fact that her atk stat isnt exactly impressive, sitting at 32 with summoner support which means that she is gonna rely on buffs and special anyways to secure KOs, and it seems like her build is a defensive one at that too.

Kudos to your Camilla`s build though, its a creative one. ^^

When I think of green flier units, I think of them in 4 tiers: top tier, middle tier, meh tier, inheritance fodder.

At the top are units like NY Azura and Myrrh. NY Azura is there for obvious reasons, as is Myrrh. Both are standalone units that can work with most any team. Spring Camilla is also near the top since she can run a variety of builds and can fit in very well with any team depending on how you build her, and she’s the only flying green tome.

In the middle, Michalis/Minerva and Cherche. Michalis (at least the way I run him) is strong enough to be able to work as well as top tier fliers and is incredibly tanky and strong. Minerva has so many ways you can build her that she is a Swiss Army knife flier, able to hit hard and fast, or be a tanky unit with the ability to be a proximity mine like Michalis, and can be used in almost any team, but both seem to shine brighter in flier emblem, which is why they aren’t considered top tier by me. Cherche is a hard hitter that can fit in anywhere as long as she holds a Brave axe+. Without that, she’s almost useless, which makes her drop into the middle tier.

In the meh tier is Beruka. Very weak offensively, but a ridiculous wall. She has a niche use, and is generally outclassed by other green fliers. Narcian also makes the cut here, because he has more res and speed than Beruka, and is also relatively tanky, but he is also outclasses by other higher tier units, including his fellow GHB brother at arms, Michalis.

Inheritance tier: Camilla. My reasons are simple. Her attack one point better than units such as Beruka and Narcian, and is on par with NY Azura, but she needs a large amount of SI to be relevant. Without optimal IVs, she is almost worthless to use, and her being available as a 4-5* unit and being given Brave axe+ with an attack stat that at neutral leaves her with a laughable 38 attack is setting her up for failure. She needs a complete overhaul, and with a much higher res stat than def and a burning desire for DC, she will require a minimum of 2 5* SI units to be able to use her niche. She takes a lot of work just to be on par with units above her, whereas the others require very little effort and resources. I have gotten 2 5* Camilla from summoning, and due to the absolute trash IVs each one had, they met their demise just as soon as I got them, feeding Cherche and Frederick Brave axe+. Sure, it’s easy to get a good IV Camilla since she is 4* available, but she isn’t a unit worth building in the long run since most units (including Narcian) can do what she can, but better. She needs a real boost from IS like Caeda received in order to be a solid unit worthy of inclusion in top tier teams, because even her niche as an emerald axe user or a mage slayer is so easy to exploit.

When I look at the optimal build for Camilla compared to other units I listed, they would outclass her without breaking a sweat. Unless she had an attack boon and ran a different weapon, there’s no way she would touch the attack power seen from Michalis or Minerva, let alone Myrrh. Camilla requires massive amounts of investment to be worthy of being mentioned in the same breath as high tier green fliers, and for F2P players such as myself, it’s not practical at all, especially since I haven’t seen any solid IVs for any copy of her I’ve gotten. For whalers, maybe they can build her however and pour 6 5* units into her for SI without so much as batting an eye, but do the same for any of the aforementioned and you’d see better results since they are much stronger to start with.
