Leif... IS didn't do him justice

So after the long await for Leif, IS doesn't give him distant counter. I feel like his fans have been cheated. Light Brand should have distant counter. I saved up so many orbs. Sigh.... Although, there is a possibility that distant counter could be added, much later, in weapon refinery, it's highly unlikely. And Leif's B skill, how exactly would it work outside of TT and chain challenge? It only restores 99 hp on turn 1. There is a better chance to pull Hector now with less 5 star greens, so there's hope for a Leif with distant counter with inheritance. Still disappointing. Do you agree? What are your thoughts?

I will give IS this, Leif voice is perfect.

I'm a teeeeeeeeeeny bit disappointed not in that Leif didn't get Distant Counter, but with how they chose to give him the Light Brand instead of the Bragi Sword, which was pretty much the Falchion of Thracia.

Remember how the Blaggi Sword could be wielded by anyone with holy blood (except Mareeta and Galzus for gameplay reasons)? That's probably why he doesn't have it, alongside that they would need to create a weapon effect from scratch.

Yeah true, I do remember that and I suppose that does make sense. But I wonder who would get it? Maybe a King Leif alt in the future or something (Pogchamp)

He's fine. They didn't give Roy DC so I'm not sure what everyone else was expecting, he got treated very well compared to Roy's og release. And yes, his voice actor is spot on.

Leif’s fans have not been ‘cheated’. He didn’t NEED to have DC so why are you upset? He’s got a good sword as pretty much every physical unit has 5 more def than res especially on arena where boons and banes exist, why are you upset that he didn’t get something like that? He could have been much worse, so be happy he’s not trash instead of complaing about DC. Also, the S drink is meant for TT and isn’t meant to be useful outside of it. If you’re not going to use him for that, then just replace it with vantage or something.

He has DC in the games, both Genealogy and Thracia. After waiting over a year, and with most Thracia fans expecting something better, most fans are disappointed. Leif can still be made into a better unit, but it will take more effort. That's not saying he's a bad unit, but he didn't live up to expectations. It's possible to make him what fans wanted, but harder than what fans had planned for their desired lord.
