L&D vs Fury on units with medium spd/def

I find it easy to put fury on units with medium speed and def, around 33.

But aside from not being creative, it feels like they get chipped down a lot. Especially when picking off mages.
Not a big problem in arena, but it's annoying in a lot of other gamemodes.

So I've been using L&D with units that still have high def. They can still take physical hits, but the 2 higher atk/spd can help killing more units.
And no more after combat damage.

Of course, res will be horrible, but these units shouldn't take hits from mages anyway.

The idea comes from Minerva, Linus and Valter. Valter's weapon plus fury is a suicidal combo (even if it has it's uses)

In my opinion in some cases L&D increases the survivability of a unit rather than decreasing it, even if you get a -5 in defensive stats. That's because by incresing the spd you avoid getting doubled resulting in receving less dmg.
I'm also running L&D on Valter since fury wasn't a good choice, while for minerva it depends, my Minerva had a -spd +def IV and i'm running her with fury+qr and Noontime as special and she is giving me good results

Minerva was more an example because L&D was in her base kit, it's better to build around the special.

Noontime + Wo Dao effect is always something I've been on the fence about using. A unit like Michalis could be a sustain tank with it, but I'm not sure if it would work.

Id recomend. Can "solo" entire melee teams. Including dragons if on a def tile.

As for ur original comment. If a unit has 30+ defenses, its kinda a waste to give them up for lnd. In which case ur basically re-working their statline. Might as well cut the middle man and get a unit that comes with the desired base stats.

As for the chip.....its the same for lnD. Unless u have recovery. Ur not gona be able to take multiple hits.

I definitely agree that, for some heroes, it's superior. It's certainly better for longer game modes like TT.

While it's nowhere near as available as Fury or Life and Death, Atk/Spd Bond is also worth considering. Instead of a stat penalty like LnD or damage penalty like Fury, you have a positioning penalty.

Difficult to use offensively, but easy to handle defensively.
