LA Eliwood build help

Just debating which refine to use on him. I have him right now on my tempest armor team (surtr, w.eirika,w.tharja). He has berkuts lance, finishing up vengeful and armor march. Haven't gotten the sp yet, but he has aether.
I have ward armor and menace on the team atm, no goad or hone buff. Is he better off with the speed refine and speed seal to boost both phases or just stick to a res/def refine and distant defense to handle mages/ archers? He has an interesting speed for an armor, seems like a waste.

Personally I gave Eliwwod the spd refine as his spd is extremely workable. with a bit of fixed here and there I managed to make my Eliwood having a whopping 43 spd, which is pretty crazy.

I spd refined his Casa Blanca and gave him fort Def/Res 3. His stat distribution has a respectable 52, 50, 35, 35, 35 before buffs at zero merges. He can deny a good amount of doubles but he can double with either Venge or Bold. I just wish I had a spare armor march and give it to him and he goes to town with HKagero providing him more atk on even turns.

Thanks for the advice, I'll go with the speed refine. Seeing that good spread at 0 merges is motivating.
