Kliffs builds! (post Labbing)
My goal with this post isn't to discuss ivs this time, but rather to look into specific builds he can run (there's many). Just to preface this post, I've tried these builds with nearly every combination of ivs and figured out which ones net him the most wins. He can mostly run ANY ivs and still kick ass because his stats are just that high. but in nearly every build you want to avoid -ResSpd and +Atk/HP. Though even those are still workable. All of these builds run Sagittae for obvious reasons.
Inconclusive Kliff
Special: Iceberg/Aether
A: Fortress Def/Res 3
B: Guard 3 (Chill Speed 3 budget)
C: Res Ploy:
Seal: Flashing Blade
Best ivs: +ResDef/-AtkHP
This build even though has guard, works incredibly on the player phase. With this combination of skills and correct buffing you take out the majority of the cast or go inconclusive with him. This includes beating all of the Hectors and F!MGrima (It's strange but you do if you have -HP instead of atk outside of buffs). This build is the most flexible out of all of the ones I've ran because you can switch between phases like it's nothing.
Nearly all times when you are engaged upon it's inconclusive meaning you can use him to chokepoint very well with this build (with buffs to def/res you can do it almost forever). He can't counter, but on his revenge attack his special will be charged so he'll be able to player phase them to oneround most opponents that don't kill.
If you want to ploy, +Res is going to be best as now that this skill is available you will more commonly see armored units hitting 34 Res or higher. Res Ploy is going to be best for him as Speed Ploy is overkill on most units you plan to kill. With Chill Speed you can double even Karla without buffs.
Flashing Blade is necessary for him to get the most wins possible, the only replacement he has available to him is Infantry Flash suport. If you can get ahold of that run Speed Ploy instead.
I PlayerPhased a Deirdre Kliff
Special:Iceberg (must have)
A:Death Blow 3/4
B: Chill Speed 3
C: Res Ploy
seal: Flashing Blade
Best ivs: +Res/-HpAtk
This build lets you double everyone in the game outside of LnD Karl/Mia/Lon'qu (which may die in onehit). The goal of this build is to abuse his 42 speed with his weapon active, natural bulk, and the fact DB3 is applied after Sagittae is already activated. You have more losses with this build, but your wins go up a ton. The only reason I don't recommend +Spd is because it actually goes into overkill range if you have Chill Speed on him.
This build is straight forward, but still very effective because of your high natural stats. However, this can only be used on player phase as it sacrifices too much bulk for him to properly work as a tank without significant buffs. But your bulk is still high enough to take retaliation hits when you player phase other units.
(Note: To actually player phase the Deirdre you need +Res, bane is irrelevant. You need to buff his Res more even till. Either this or slight attack support will work (pref drive))
Brrrrr Kliff
Special: Glacies/Iceberg
A: Fortress Res/Def 3
B: Special Spiral 3
C: Res Wave 3/Res Ploy
Seal: Flashing Blade (I kid you not this is his most important seal) OR Fortress Res
Best Ivs: +Res/-NotSpd
This build is a simple destroy the enemy with your special and take no damage before that build. I don't recommend this build over the other 2 as it puts him into a niche he doesn't need to be in. But with his 43/48 Res a Glacies from him will be devastating. The only problem is getting his special to activate, but with his defenses he should have no problem stalling. He has guard to prevent people from killing him with specials as he is very vulnerable to them with low health. He doesn't run much risk of getting doubled because his Speed is naturally too high to do it even if they can speed up their special. BF does beat this build, but if you buff appropriately it will still put in work.
BEFORE I finish of the builds I did try him with CC. I think it takes away too many stats for him to work to his full potential, and limits him to the enemy phase which he isn't. This is only worth considering if you really want to try it, or you are willing to buff him up all the time with Summoner Support.
Kliff is self-sufficient for the most part, but can do wonders with a bit of support.
PARTNERS:
Kliff is vulnerable to green units that he can't tank (not many) or can't kill. So just be careful of not running in thinking he can ultra defy the weapon triangle.
Infantry Flash/Infantry Pulse support helps him and opens up his seal slot to run another Ploy skill. It just makes him more flexible to different situations.
Wave skills: Having the ability to juggle and buff his attack stat with a wave skill if very important to him if you decide to run him without tactic skills. Priority of these buffs would go AttackWave>Def/ResWave>SpdWave
Note nothing is set in stone of these being the best builds ever. I could easily have overlooked something I didn't before. Share your own builds/comment on mine/tell me which one you plan to use!

I ran the lists they provided and checked their builds to see if they were optimal or not to make sure it wasn't something easy to kill. And a lot of times he was legitimately able to player phase them with the first 2 builds. I tested a few individually that weren't obvious wins for him with their optimal builds (Micaiah, B!Hector, Hectors, Grima, L!Tiki, Isthar, Arya/Karlla, Mia, Deirdre, Niles etc). And this lead me to the conclusion of these ivs with these skills being the best for him.
EDIT: I just read the builds they suggest on the website and disagree with them heavily. How do I send them these builds?

I see. I'm more interested in whether the builds they provided were either the most common (ex: death blow + desperation + BA on Micaiah, base kit L.Hector) or worst case scenario (ex: Ayra +spd using slaying edge+spd and spd+3 seal, which is also a pretty common setup)
I don't know of a way to suggest the builds to the GamePress staff, but you can publish anytime in the "user-submitted builds" section of his character page near the bottom, above the list of skills he has by default.

Good idea! And I'm actually not sure what they were thinking on the builds. When I ran the calcs with their builds they weren't as successful as either of them minus the bladetome set up (which is boring). The builds they ran added on many more loses and less wins. And they limited him to the enemy phase. I think they tend to only think of builds for extremes given that the recommend +Speed, because in most cases it's going to be overkill. They also threw out ploying for smoke which gets rid of any ability to player phase. It's one of the shakier one's I've read before.

Well, his player phase is thin with close counter and ploys become dubious so I can understand trying to use a smoke instead. I don't like the build though.
But when I said most common / worst case scenario, I meant in the simulator. Is that what the simulator offers you?

They actually did odd enough. I learned that he loses to Mia with with Wrath by one HP if he isn't buffed. You can use it too. I'm still training all of my Kliffs to see how it works. I have a +Spd-Res too so I can try out their build for awhile w/o CC to see if it is more practical because the calcs don't show it.
