I already have both Karla (-hp +spd) and Ayra (-hp +Attack) built with their standard builds, but I wanted to take Ayra to the next level and I hear she is the better of the two in general. Is it worth killing Karla to give Wrath to Ayra?
Maybe wait and see if you get another unit with Wrath before making a decision to kill off Karla. You might pull a spare Neph in 2 weeks and then regret getting rid of your only Karla
Plus your Karla has like perfect IVs. Why would you kill off a top tier unit with ideal IVs? Just keep her for now and see what happens
Well originally I thought she was powerful, but people say Ayra has higher bulk, and her special is much for ideal for arena pushing. Both are powerful, and both of mine have ideal IVs but I wanted a arena pusher, and Wrath is great on Ayra. It might just be my Karla’s build though...
Yeah, there's always the thing about keeping your only copy of a unit to have, but not everyone follows that rule. I'm about to fodder off my only copy of Ishtar that I've ever had to give my Donnel Swift Sparrow, and my only Summer Cordelia for Shell Lance.
Just depends on priorities. Karla is in the regular summoning pool, and, chances are, they'll add more units that has Wrath (even if it might take them forever to do it).
I say to just fodder, or at least think about more units to use it on, but if you're not really interested in keeping her, then there's no point in keeping her, at least in my eyes.
First of all, you have both fully kitted out, so why are you just going by "other people say Ayra's bulk is better?" You have the ability to try them both out and see which one you like better. They are not playing your account, and even if they somehow are, the point is for you to play the game, not them.
As to the actual comparison between the units, I consider them pretty different. Ayra is all about that enormous (probably OP) special; Karla is a sweeper and a glass cannon. My opinion is that desperation, not wrath, is the better play on Karla because of her prf accelerating cooldown (hence, moonbow even in desperation) and granting extra damage per hit. So just a simple moonbow works, or flashing blade galeforce, or if you want more tankiness, shield pulse + pavise. Ayra, on the other hand, being focused around her special, doesn't mind playing for OHKOs despite her spd, although she's perfectly content to double if she needs to and the opportunity presents itself, making wrath strong on her. I like slaying edge+spd and either quickened pulse, or infantry pulse her. You could say IS mixed up the base kits - they each come with the B-skill that works best on the other.
Now, whether you should fodder? Unless you positively dislike Karla, I wouldn't fodder her. It's not easy to get such a good IV. If you're looking for arena points, Karla actually scores extremely well with the galeforce build because galeforce has equal SP value to Regnal Astra and she probably keeps her prf (unlike Ayra, who tends to switch to slaying edge), plus flashing blade scores well, whereas Ayra tends to like spd+3. (In any case, are you merging?)
If you want wrath fodder, the daily banner with +10 specials has Nephenee and only three focus units. You can expect to find her in maybe 130 orbs? Just ballparking that off the top of my head.
In that case I still wouldn't sac your Mia. Would you be willing to wait until the flashing blade seal becomes forgeable? I'm not sure how long that would take. Desperation moonbow is a not-too-expensive alternate for the time being and probably still very effective. I mean, with non-firesweep galeforce you're saying "I don't even need a special to get through you in two hits" so the moonbow will help if you're against someone with massive amounts of def and/or blue
