Kill Ike for Warding Breath?

I have a Merged +1 legendary Ike -Res +def that I never use and a -hp +res Adrift Corrin with Guard and Even Attack Wave. Kill Ike to give Warding Breath to Corrin or what? Ike is below:

Ike is not a bad legendary though. Do you have an earth legendary? Or do you have built Fire-Wind-Water legendaries? Typically a good idea to have 3 seasons with legendary heroes for all various game modes. Ike will be a solid user of R Duel Infantry as well.

I strongly discourage this. Now if you manage +10 this corrin then definitely. Though I know Corrin is new and exciting, but if you don't really get any other merges, this will be a huge waste. I'd wait to see if you summon extra copies (of Ike) before sacking a +1 unit though.

Umm no. Just no. I know the temptation seems big. But one day, you may find yourself at Phoenixmaster1's door and needing some help and the you'll find out you're missing the Ike he uses in his videos XD

But seriously don't. Ike and Breath fodder is common given LHB's and I'm very sure that if you pull in a LHB when he's around, that you can get him without having to kill this one. So my recomendation still stands. Just keep him.

I couldn't disagree more. Ike Breath fodder is in NO way commonly given in LHB. idk if you've noticed but the 5 star rate aint 8%, it's bs. also they said they don't use that Ike, so its a waste. and there are other uits that can do the job just as good, if not, better

There's a lot of information that we don't have either. Sometimes making rash decisions can become unfavorable as well. Ike is a key unit in guides. I don't always use guides, but from my knowledge of them, Ike is normally a go-to unit for them. Does the OP follow guides?

Ike is also a very good farmer. Does the OP care about farming feathers? To further this, is Ike already capped at 5k prior to just sacking him for no longer used? What happens when the barracks is capped Ike wasn't yet, the OP no longer summoned/kept around a Legendary Ike?

What happens when Ragnell can be refined? Granted it likely won't be super soon, but there's always a chance of it getting one given his character's popularity.

It's not a simple do it or don't do it as it depends player to player, and depends on that player's goals for the game. If anything in any of the comments strikes the OP to not do it, then it is their decision to make. Sacking a rare 5*, even a merged one is simply not best practice, unless this new corrin is their all time favorite hero, and going to whale for them at every opportunity. The latest units are always hyped up, then just forgotten when the next banner rolls around. If this Corrin is going to be a legit unit in the OP's main teams then this sacrifice is worth it. But most times it is not.
