Keep or fodder Finn?

I have a pitybreaker Abel as my brave lance calvary, so I am thinking about just foddering Finn off: Brave Lance + to my Donnell 4* merge project, and Goad Calvary on the 4* Finn to some horse.

Is this a mistake? Any reason Finn is substantially better than Abel? He has better defense and hp at expense of resistance, but Abel’s attack is higher so I am thinking that makes him a winner given the Brave build.

Do you have 20k feathers? if so, I would 5 star a Donnel to get the brave lance+ then merge it into your 4 star project as that will kill two birds with one stone so to speak, as you get the skill and a +1 merge. Honestly Finn and Abel are pretty inter-chnagable when it comes to offensive builds, but Abel can get more merges. Finn is a little better defensively as you said, but that's about it.

Okay so unless you plan on actually building/using him at some point then I wouldn’t see you regretting using him on a character you prefer to use. He’s also very similar to Oscar as well so if you have one of him as well, then you really don’t need him.

donnel already has brave lance+ at 5* so he can't inherit the weapon from finn because he already has it. you're gonna need to 5* a donnel and merge down but Donnel is much better as a 5*+10 unit compared to a +4 because of his villager BST

I get what you mean but I am not going to invest in a 5+10 Donnell l, glorious though he would be, so that is a non issue. I would rather have the very solid 4+10 unit as a f2p.

You are actually wrong about the inheritance restriction - I just fed him Brave lance +
