Katarina: salvage or fodder?

When I was pulling for another Brave Celica, I ended up with a Katarina instead. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. Then I found out she's +HP -Atk. Now I don't have many Red mages, being Tharja, W!Tharja and Celica, so another one ist pretty useful. However, her IVs do put her in an inconvenient spot which make me consider using her as swift sparrow fodder.
What do you think? Should I make the best out of her or use her as SSp fodder?

SS fodder. Her atk at neutral is already borderline unusable, so an atk bane is the final nail in the coffin.

Even though She's my favourite Red mage.T-T.
I recommend to fodder her off since you will have more use of Swift sparrow on other units.

But she still is good since she has an owl tome, the -atk will be mitigated by the Owl effect(though it does require positioning) and she can a support unit since she can ploy with her PRF weapon. but still fodder her off if you won't use her.

Considerations:
- Reese's Tome+eff has spd/res ploy on it which will really help out her lower atk
- Owl tome effect helps out her lower atk.
- Her ability to ploy gives a lot of utility to a team.
- If you're going to spend the dew on the refine, you're more or less obligated to merge if you ever get a better IV.

I'd probably play her without any SI until you get a better IV or someone in your barracks really really wants SS. Unless she's a unit you want to merge. Then I think you can proceed now. But since I wouldn't merge her, I would wait for an IV that doesn't have -atk, -spd, or -res to give her the refine.
