Kana (M) builds

I really want to invest into Male Kana so I made a couple of hypothetical builds for him. But I’m no whale or tier 20 player so I’d like some critique and advice on the builds.
The other build not pictured has:
Water Breath + (Spd refine)
Ardent Sacrifice
Moonbow
Brazen Def/Res 3
Renewal 3
Fortify Dragons
Distant Def 3

Good build, i'm gonna do something similar

Kana(M) has the trait of being good out of the box.
So here are two ideas
Standard Dragon build- Super tanky, but he has good stats everywhere.
Offensive- Has full dragon buffs
He will become super powerful in my hands. Because I have too many SI units.

Why distant def? He doesn't have distant counter, I think he'd work better as a melee tank, so close defense seems better. I'd change renewal for QR2 so he can retaliate harder since his speed is middling. I'd go for bonfire instead of moonbow as he'll reach stellar defense plus his attack isn't really that good.
Refine should have some tests, his defenses will be ridiculously high, he probably won't even be taking damage, so he would want to be doubled for special activation.

The picture has Close Defense. And Lightning Breath.

I thought Distant Def could be used to make his Res and Def stats similar so that he could be a mixed tank, but now I see that Close Def makes more sense. Distant Def would probably be better on the Lightning Breath build.
As for QR, I'd rather have it as a sacred seal. Brazen Def/Res works at 80% or less so after one Ardent Sacrifice I think he's in the range. With Renewal he can keep regenerating health for Ardent Sacrifice. For him to also attack on the same turn I'd need a dancer, but I always have dancers anyway.
I also went with Moonbow just so he'd have a quick special but I didn't really think about how much Bonfire would do, especially with all the defense buffs he'll have. Oops.
Thanks for the advice though, I'll definitely keep it in mind. I was honestly nervous to see what people would say about the builds since I don't often make my own builds but I'm glad I got some good feedback.
