Kagero (in this meta) Builds?

Pulled a +spd/-Def Kagero and am considering promoting her. Sitting on a ton of Feathers and kind of always wanted her as a 5*

The thing holding me back is whether or not +spd is still viable in the current meta or for PvE maps.

I have a ton of Vantage Fodder, a few DB3 fodder and Even an extra Takumi for CC.

Any cool ideas for how to build her despite the meta being very HORSEY or (thx to BK) armory?

Kagero will always be fantastic in PvE just because there are infantry units in every map.

It's rough running her on Arena offense right now though. You'd have to run her with a chipper build for consistent results with something like Smoke Dagger/Rogue Dagger, Savage Blow, Death Blow, and Windsweep (as much as I hate memeing myself bringing up Windsweep). I actually think you're better off shooting for Olivia in this banner if you want to run the more traditional Kagero Poison Dagger set, as at least that way you have a dancer on your team should there be no infantry to fight.

But then, Kagero wouldn't be the best ninja to run a chipper build like you're suggesting because she's not the fastest, and frail so needs sweep. So I would in that case not recommend the OP spend the feathers to upgrade her.

But running the standard set of Poison Dagger+, Life and Death 3 (as you have + speed, this is the way to go. If you can't, DB 3 is still good.), Desperation 3 + Ardent Sacrifice, and Threaten Def 3 will allow you to one-shot some common heroes in aren (B!Ike and B!Lucina, some distant-counter melee, all dragons, Bridelia, all non-raven infantry mages.)

Also with the P.A. Banner, I think you'll be seeing a lot of dancers, and she'll 1-shot all of them.

I mean my ultimate suggestion if it wasn't obvious would be not to spend the feathers as well. I was just giving him an evaluation of why Kagero's having a rough time in this Meta. She's useful for AA as you can preview what you're facing and see if an opponent is running multiple infantry.

I certainly wouldn't use up a valuable L&D 3 on her right now though, that's for sure.

Yeah you're right.

I will say that chippers can be fun to use in Arena, even if not all that powerful. I love when I'm running a chipper w/ a dancer in a match vs. a full armor team. Usually at least one of them isn't running distant counter, and w/ poison strike/Savage blow you can reduce the whole team to 1hp. Ofcourse this is depending on the map, but it's worked for me several times. The real tricky part is getting into the armor emblem BST range running those two on the team at high arena tiers. The new P!Azura should help.

I mostly use her for my TT runs now, I always run my team of Kagero, Chrom (medic), Hector, and M!Robin through TT then have my team with the bonus unit mop up the last map or two.

(The extra .05 bonus from using 1 less team isn't worth it when I'm more consistently under the turn limit threshold)
