Jamke - Why?

Well I don't know the character but I don't really understand the value added from Jamke's GHB.
There are so many bow users with a similar stat line. He just has a little bit more fire power to back it up.
And no very special skill for SI, imo.
Heavy Blade is rare but I see no benefit from providing it. So I feel like he is not in the same league as the previous 3-5 GHB who were either a niche character, a X.0 version of a ploy mage or some interesting skill fodder.

To be fair, when it comes to neutral stats, Jamke has the highest attack out of all the archers. When you throw in IVs, the only archers who beat his Attack with a +Atk IV are some seasonal archers, Leon, and Legendary Lucina.

He's probably the one of the better candidates for a Brave Bow build.

Jamke is most likely going to be used by fans of his character from the original game, because otherwise, it's really difficult to objectively justify using him over someone who has access to IVs and merges if you want to actually invest in an archer.

Not saying that he's bad and that upgrading him is a stupid idea if you just want a solid bow unit, but as a long-term thing, he's just not worth it. He's pretty much like Leon with a couple of stat points shuffled. They even have the same bow.

Because people love FE4 and Jamke is nice. Personally I’ve never played FE4 and I still like him as a character. Also Heavy Blade fodder so nice. He also has a nice statline. Also I think he is a lot better than the rest of the infantry archers, just give him a boost in attack, give him Aether or Galeforce and he’ll do wonders with Heavy Blade.

At least he got in Heroes. I’ve had him on my list ever since I played Genealogy for the first time earlier this year. His defense and res are pretty low, but his attack is good enough to be at least a tier 2 or 3 Archer.

I think he’s more meant as fanservice for Genealogy fans than anything, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Not every character needs to be the best or bring some great fodder to the table;sometimes it’s nice to have less popular characters added to appeal to their fans, because believe it or not, they exist.
